worried about being lonely

One of my good church friends is moving
Away to guam for a couple yrs. She is one of the
only church friends I have who hangs out with me
outside church.I'm worried when she leaves I won't have
anyone to hang out with. Does anyone have any advice for me?

Hi there my dear sweet sis! I will be praying my heart out for you. This breaks my heart as i can TOTALLY relate to how you feel, I only have ONE offline friend and if she moved or left I would be just as nervous. Secondly I think you should think about maybe making some new friends? Like maybe volunteering or something you like. Just try and do something fun to make friends.

I know this is kind of a cliche, but the saying "When God closes a door, he opens another" can be true in any situation, not just dating or jobs.
It can be true with friends.
God gave me many friends over the years, but usually only one that I talked to alot. The rest would be people I chatted with at church or occassionally got invited to their house for someone's baby shower.
Otherwise, I'd see their facebook updates of all the stuff they did and didn't include me. oh well.
So God would give me one friend I could always call and text and hang out with more than other people.
And thus is life...the friend would have to go on with her plan whether it was God's plan for her or her own journey that she wanted to take but it would take her away. Not long after, God would give me another.
Or maybe he was giving me to them?
Since I got married almost a year ago, I have focused on that life and not so much on these friends but I still keep in touch.
My husband has a few more busy years of school ahead so I'm about to pray for new opportunities to bless people.
When I pray "I want a friend" I sometimes do get one,
but usually it's when I pray "I'm seeking to serve and bless people" that I get put into a situation where I make several friends.
This is just a suggestion.
