Allow me to open a fresh can...

Over at the worship ministry forum we have been discussing a pastor who is allowing local non-christian musicians to play on the praise and worship team.the OP states that people in the congregation are just 'staring' ,not entering in to worship.there is speculation that the Pastor is using the platform as an 'Evangelistic tool ' towards these local musicians..
Is this, in your humble opinions,correct or incorrect,scriptural,unscriptural,wise,unwise,a good idea,a bad idea,a God idea, genius,foolish...?

A later post states that this is appearantly being done by some leading worship leaders around the country(??!!)...

I welcome your thoughts/opinions/ as well as scripture references concerning worship ...

I'm no expert but its my personal opinion that it depends on the musical talent and their abiity to bring a worshiping atmosphere to the church.. Jesus would never turn anyone away..

Now if the music is not inspiring a worshiping atmosphere then they should be redirected

There is a theological [liturgy] arguement that taking part in worship can led us to wanting to worship.
I would suggest chatting with him and asking is reasons why.

SO THE QUESTION IS:Are people who are not professing Christians actually worshipping ? who are they worshipping? and how in the world would they create an atmosphere of worship ?? (God can see thru smoke,you know...)

Of course,Tony Robbins with his eerie power to cloud mens minds to make them think they will ever be as tall and darkly handsome as he is would be the natural choice for the modern pulpit.I can just see him wagging his 9" long index finger at the crowd in that hypnotic way and growling " If you can see it,I say you can be it!!!" " reach way down into the power of YOU !!!" it'll sell like hotcakes !!

Now,as to Ms. Spears...I say shes a little too subtle for the modern congregation..they want something a little more wowzy to keep 'em conscious for tony robbins.. i see a good old fashioned Christian 'screamo' group like .. hmm... "White Heart"..with the added effect of recently converted Chinese acrobats doing trampoline bouts on either side of the plarform.

I would think that you should be a christian to do this but I could be wrong. God Bless all
