I play (unfortunetly) on the EU servers where no one seems to speak english (or maybe it's just my server) and boy does it get aggravating at times. Even something as simple as "mana break" can be too complicated for some and you can pretty much forget about explaining something "complicated" to the lot of them.

So the lack of english and my girlfriends constant nagging that I don't spend enough time with her is resulting in me not really playing that much right now.

Anyways I got a 60 warlock and some other low lvl chars that's not worth mentioning:p

Gah, KT is packed to que already? I started on there soon after it opened just because Feathermoon and Cenarion Circle were full all the time. I'm starting to miss WoW so I might pick up a gamecard this weekend.

Oh yeah, The RP and PVE servers are all full to the que. I started on Dunemaul a month before Kirin Tor opened As soon as Kirin Tor opened I made a character and within a month it was packed and Dunemaul has just yesterday gone from low population to medium. Why does Blizzard keep adding so many PVP servers that aren't getting filled and only rarely adding a PVE or RP server when they fill up so fast. To me anyway this tells me what people want. I fired off a nasty-gram to them a few days ago about it. We'll see if I get a reply.

Tips for new chars:
1. Make an alt and run it to Ironforge or ogrimmar and park it near the letterbox. Send all your greens & sellable items to this alt and sell them on the AH. Also buy any gear you need and mail it to your main. (instant access to AH :)

2. Take 2 gathering professions... minining/skinning/herbalism on an established server you will make lotsa cash. I always had 2 epics and a mount by level 40 just from this.

3. Always stay in areas where the mobs & quests are below your level, you will level much faster.

4. Get some useful mods! gatherer, autobuff, titan panel ct raid etc. there are others. do google search for them.

5. ESSENTIAL websites.... alt + tab is your friend :p allakhazam & thottbot
- if you don't know where to go for a quest just look on there.... you can waste hours trying to find out where the freak to go otherwise.

(can't post the url's havent done enough posts here yet.)

However Much better would be to not start playing WoW in the first place, it takes up WAY to much time and will definately not help your spiritual life. I have played it a *lot* and I would like to say that a "dark" pressence presides over the realms of WoW.

I don't get why people like this game so much. I tried hard to play it because all my friends do, but I really dislike it, infact its one of only three games I can honestly say I hated (ET for the atari and Matrix online) It just seems too repetitive, I got a warlock (zombie, Hoard for life!) and played him to 65 (or whatever the cap is, I think thats it) I also hate the loot system, the loot makes the character and if you don't have "IT" you are gimped...

I think getting the loot is part of the whole point. What game is going to be fun if they hand your lvl 1 character the indestructable ray of death and the armor of never die? Sure it might be fun for about 5 minutes but there is no challenge and will soon fade away.

I witness while I play and have alot of fun doing it. No fire and brimstone witnessing but "yeah sure I'll help you out" and strike up conversations while we play. My wife also plays so we have an enjoyable past time that we do together. If you are feeling a "dark" presense over the game that just tells me that is where you should be shining a light. Pray over it before you play. Dont give into addiction, and have fun.

Blizzard really needs to find a way to expand their servers or start doing some massive splitting. Of the servers where I have characters, the smallest que was 230 and a couple were over 500 and the only servers that weren't full were PvP.

Ursin is a PvP server, and even though I've got a 46 pally on Medivh, I NEVER play him, because I enjoy PvP so, so, so much more. And having a shadow priest means I can actually do damage and stuff, and actually play a role in the outcome of a battleground.

Even though getting ganked can get annoying, it's a 2-way street. Plus it's so exhilarating to be fighting a mob and having a rogue like 4 levels below me try to gank me, only for me to heal and pwn him :)

I may end up tinkering around some on a pvp server just to be able to play but I doubt I'll get into it much. I love the RvR in DAoC and might go back to it if Blizzard doesn't get it fixed soon.

I don't understand what the problem is, honestly. Is the game world just too small to support more people per server or is their server system just unable to handle more people? EQ servers didn't lag much for me with 2000+ people per server and that was on dial-up.

I'm playing EQII atm, it has gotten so much better since launch and they are revamping the Newbie Isle and scrapping the archetype system. In fact I'm holding off making a character until later this week, when they release the new revamped class system and newbie isles. Mostly i've just been playing on test just to get a feel for the new system.

I had played Wow for a few months but got pretty bored after a while. I wasn't too impressed with the community either.

What about City of Villains and Heroes, they have next to no loot system and Thats one of my favorite games of all time :D

Cathulhu, your avatar is crazy. It looks like Hello Kitty mated with a squid AND a bat, ate too much green goo, and gave birth to a demon kitten.

Its Hello Cthulhu! A sweet and cuddly bundle of elder love!

I've never played City of Villians and Heroes. My point is the setting of the game, in the case of WoW, is an epic fantasy. While there are two factions that are opposed to each others there is a stated (but not practiced) state of peace between them. In fact they are gearing up to go to war together against a great evil that is coming into the land right now. With no open and declared war the whole drive is to get the cool gear.

I've got a 60 rogue on Whisperwind, but I quit playing for a 9 month period as things were busy and I couldn't find the time. Then a month ago I decided to jump back in, this time on Emerald Dream, a RP-PvP server. Got my little mage up to 35 and having an absolute blast. Got into a good guild, and love the element of PvP. So far, mage is much funner than the rogue, although survivability is very low in PvP. I don't mind though, I usually take a few down before I go ;)

Woot!!! Just made 40 with my Hunter on Kirin Tor. Umm anyone have 90 gold they can spare? LOLMy hunter on Dunemaul is still at 39. I'm really not into the whole PvP server anymore, but I miss him since he is such an awesome leatherworker. I have him maxed out at 300 and I can't find a pattern that he doesn't know aside from the spec stuff and even there I've got every single Elemental pattern I could find stashed away in the bank so when and if I do make 40 I can spec out immeadiately.
