Forget both. I just downloaded Anarchy Online. It's free. There's no monthly subscription required (until 2007, and not including the expansions). I think I'll just play this for now.

Interestlingly, World of Warcraft is FREE to play in Korea. I just don't want to use the Korean version!

Yeah, the only thing lacking in WoW that I loved about EQ was pickup groups but WoW balances it by making soloing a lot easier. There was just something about jumping off the boat in OverThere and dodging 'goons to get to your group. It still creeps me out on the odd occasions when I play to zone into East Commons and there not be a single other person there.

I'll probably pick up a WoW game card sometime after the first. I'm starting to get the urge again.

I have a level 55 hunter on Nerzhul, and he is the first character that I will actually get to level 60, as I had given up on earlier attempts about half way through. Yesterday my guild and I went on a bit of a rampage in a raid group, we had a christmas party, had some fun, and then went raiding - we went to GromGol and wiped out a large number of hordes there, and then caught the zepp over to UC, and trundled around there for a while... lots of fun.

While I suppose WoW was my favourite overall, AO is a great MMOG and the one I am most likely to go back to if I start playing one again.

Don't give into the temptation of the expansions, they aren't worth having to pay the monthly fee for. Notum Wars adds a few items, Shadowlands is (in my opinion) dumb and while Alien Invasion sounds interesting you seldom see any aliens unless you are part of a big organization and play all the time.

My Orc Warrior, Krueger, is now lvl 21 on the Alleria server. The low population makes lag almost nonexistant, but it also makes it hard to form parties.

It's been my experience that finding groups isn't easy on any server unless you are in a guild that does a lot of instances. One of the most populated low lvl zones is The Barrens and usually everyone is at various stages of doing the same quests and will group to do them. The problem is that groups don't tend to last much beyond the last person getting the last quest item. While that is good for questing, it doesn't do much for grinding out some more xp.

I didn't notice it as much on my hunter because I like to solo with him but with my other characters that have more group oriented abilities, it is very noticable. I'd say try to get in a guild that has lots of toons in your lvl range so you can do instances. Pickup groups are very rare in WoW, at least in the places/servers I've hunted.

Just out of curiousity, do any of you do fishing? If you do do you have a Big Iron Fishing Pole? (They can be found in the shellfish cages off the coast of Shadowprey Villiage in Desolace. Lvl 32-35 mobs in the area). Lastly if you do go there to get the BIFP's do you sell them in AH and how much do you normally get for them?

I just downloaded the trial, and it's pretty fun. Definitely worth all the talk that everyone around here gives it. I'll probably buy a retail copy soon afterwards. I have a level 6 druid, and I'm in the Bronzebeard server.

Wow it's great to finally see fellow Christians who play these games like I do.

I have two main characters:
DUHAST, Orc Shaman, realm Boulderfist (PvP) (we are outnumbered by Alliance 3:1)
SONNEDUR, Human Mage, realm Maelstrom (RPPvP)

Duhast is in the guild <[size=+1]ABSØLUTE[/size]>, and Sonnedur is in <Cult of Chuck Norris>. I give equal time to both characters.

My horde priest on Ursin is up to 38, and last week I was 1,190 (I think) on the top 2000 pvp list... this week, I'm so cracking the top 1,000 it's not even funny.

I've pretty much abandond my Dunemaul lvl 39 Hunter in favor of my Kirin Tor lvl 33 Hunter. I like PVP. Just not all the time. I prefer to go to battlegrounds or to set PVP mode for a while, but when I'm out questing it is very very annoying to get jacked by someone who is at least 10 lvls higher than me who camps my body. That ALWAYS happens on Dunemaul (PVP server). My only complaint about Kirin Tor is it's an RP server and Blizzard doesn't have nearly enough RP/ PVE servers for people who like to play like me so they are always jam packed and have a que to get in that can take as long as a half hour.

Gah, KT is packed to que already? I started on there soon after it opened just because Feathermoon and Cenarion Circle were full all the time. I'm starting to miss WoW so I might pick up a gamecard this weekend.
