I missed the show....who won??

Come back on Saturday, I'm sure we will know by then, the next show comes on on Friday night. I am hoping it will be Guy.

Anyone want to know the results? Or do you want to wait until tonight? Just a little hint, you will probably see it all over the morning news and stuff anyway, so do you want to know?

My son wakes up 7 ish anyway, so I got to see the last 10mins. That's the important bit, I do know who won.

Me too..... I got up just to watch it and then I went straight back to bed!!!
I was relatively happy with who one... the person is very talented!!!

The guy who won is from Norway, he is the person I would have voted for (apart from Guy, but we can't vote for him anyway) I was amazed that Guy didn't even make it to the top 5.

Was impressed that all the countries voted the guy from norway, may not have been the looker but boy could he sing. He would have had one of the best voices. We have to remember Guy was only crowned Aussie Idol at the end of last year some of the entrants had been on shows in there country up to two years ago, and have a name for themselves around the world.

He was very talented and i would have voted for him if i was going to vote...

I have a comment.

1. Guy is apparently a Christian ...right...I'm assuming that. Anyways World Idol...what can I say?
Idol clearly something against God, and World -> Worldly....does this say anything in terms of bad luck...lol.... I would have thought he'd won....

2. All the votes are based on how many internationals there are in other countries. If aussies in large numbers was in Norway, Poland, Germany, England...etc.... then they'd have a Huge influence, and thus they can't really vote for their own people.
Say if I was in the US, and I had heaps of friends, I would say, I'd go for kelly first but Guy second...then all my friends would agree, so when voting, they'd vote for Guy.....or who ever.....

So the system from my perspective is wrecked.

But at least Norway won it...their economy won't be taking another dip...lol.....

Yay! Kurt Nelsen from Norway won. That was so sad about Simon saying stuff about how no ugly person has ever won blah,blah,blah.

I really wanted Guy to win, I think it could've helped if he sang a different song. I really like Angels Brought Me Here. Did he write that?

It rather surprised me because I believe Guy deserved a little better considering the sale of his cd's. But, that's how it goes. He is a lovely ambassador for Australia. And, why am I not surprised America came second?

Yes I agree. Also, I think Guy has been tired, it was only 2 mths ago that he won Aussie Idol, and from what I understand he hasn't had much of a break since then.

I know this sounds bad, but I am glad the Americans didn't win. It seems they win nearly everything and I am so sick of the whole thing. Didn't Kelly look put out when she didn't win.

Kelly looked so much like Tina Arena and even sang the same style as her....don't you recon?

As for the Arabian girl, I'm not quite sure whether they would have "Arabian Idol" because that would spew out more terrorism with the word "Idol".....

Actually Jim, I looked at her again with your comment in mind, she does look a little like Tina.
