My husband has this work place bully thing happening. This guy is sending messages to people right through the night, running them down on social media, refusing to answer questions about where money is and what happened to it, shouting at women (and that triggers DH's PTSD). I am trying to be supportive as a spouse, but I cannot get much sense out of husband about how they plan to solve the problem.

Can Jesus please get into that team to protect them, and maybe guide the one who is making the trouble to a better way to treat others?

Dear Lord, I pray for wisdom for those having to deal with this difficult situation. Open all eyes to the truth of what is going on, especially the workplace authorities that may be present here, that they may be empowered to deal with this bully and bring them to justice. In Christ's Name, Amen

I am pleased you mentioned higher management here, because people should tell them, if there are any. The situation for DH is it is already one member of a managing team who is doing this, DH and the others the aggressor is going for are on an equal highest level with him. They can just pull together and tell him to go, but they would all have to do it together. The aggressor has been there a long time, some of them might be thinking that it is too ruthless, but I am thinking perhaps it is retirement nerves and this guy needs to bite that bullet and....well go sit on the beach!

Thank you everybody.

I like what RileyG said, it is simple when the details here make it look complicated.

Hi RamiC,

I’m so sorry to hear about what your husband is going through. Workplace bullying can be incredibly challenging, not just for him but for you as his spouse as well. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to see him struggling.

Lord, I lift up RamiC’s husband to You. Please bring peace, protection, and strength to him during this difficult time. Guide the hearts and minds of those involved, and help them to act with kindness and fairness. Provide clear guidance for the best path forward, and surround RamiC and her husband with Your love and comfort. Amen.

Psalm 34:17 says, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles." Please know that God is with you both through this trial. You’re doing such a wonderful job supporting your husband—your love and care are evident in your words. Keep leaning on God for strength, and He will guide you both through this.

If there’s any specific way I can continue to pray for you or your husband, please don’t hesitate to let me know. God bless you both!

After a few more problems, DH has gone in today on a mission to demand that they become a Trauma Aware Workplace. I did my best to help him see why some things that have happened are triggering his traumas, so he can spell it out to the rest of the team. He mentioned threatening to quit, but I would prefer this thing changes a little corner of the world for the better, and they start understanding how they can improve working conditions.

I greatly appreciate you all helping, praying does work. We just need to negotiate God's path for the answer sometimes.

I would so like to get in this evening and find he is happy with whatever is going on by then.

Thank You to Jesus for caring about DH, and all Your friends who are responding to this thread.

Lord,

I pray you give us grace and wisdom to suffer long and be kind, to return cursing with blessings, to rejoice in all trials, knowing they build patience, knowing that all things work together for those who love you.

Let us be of one mind with you, Lord, and remember that without you we can do nothing, knowing that we are worthless and worth less than nothing, knowing that by walking in your ways and showing love in place of hatred that we will shine your light in all the world. Let us be your lights, please, Lord.

Allow us to be perfect, Lord, as you also are perfect and to have peace that surpasses all understanding so that all who walk in darkness in the shadow of death, burdened and troubled by principalities and powers might see our good works and glorify you.

Thank you Lord that you have given us wisdom to allow us to pray what you would have us pray and to seek what you would have us seek and that you have called us out of darkness into your glorious light.

Let us be thankful always Lord that you have done these things for us by your great mercy and kindness and by those things that you suffered upon the Earth because of wicked men like us.

Allow us to keep your commandments and have them always in remembrance and that the brethren might receive comfort by your words that you have given to us to speak to them, by your word, especially as we see the signs now upon the Earth and knowing that the generation of the fig tree is old and the time is at hand.

Let us purify ourselves and wash ourselves in your blood that we might be clean before you. Let us put on your whole armour and love you with all of our minds, hearts, souls and strength and love the brethren as ourselves.

Knowing that we can do nothing without you, Lord, we pray that you give us power to do all these things and in all things to endure all that you place before us and to look up and rejoice that the summer draws nigh.

Amen.

Hi RamiC,

Thank you so much for sharing this update! I truly admire the courage your husband has shown in advocating for a Trauma Aware Workplace—what an incredible step toward creating a healthier and more understanding environment. It’s not easy to speak up, especially when dealing with personal challenges, but his efforts could make such a positive difference for others as well.

I also want to acknowledge your loving support for him—you’ve done such a wonderful job in helping him process and take action. It’s clear that your care and faith are a source of strength for both of you.

I’m continuing to pray for both of you—for wisdom, peace, and strength as you navigate this situation. I’m also praying that the workplace will become more compassionate and understanding as a result of his courageous step. Please don’t hesitate to share any specific prayer needs.

May God bless you and your husband abundantly, and may He guide you both on the path to healing and resolution. Thank you for being such a strong example of faith and love!

Thank you for this.

If Jesus can reach my DH with His peace to stop and think calmly when it gets busy and he feels threatened it really would be fantastic. In case anyone does not know, PTSD involves physical changes to his brain, it is not simple wilful behaviour choice, it looks very intense because it is the same as a soldier in active combat. I know Jesus can help, He made each brain in the world, but it is not so easy for DH to stay calm. He does believe the gospel and he does pray, but he cannot always control the response as someone without PTSD could. I know Jesus gets it, because Jesus came back from that Cross (and I mean combat..one trapped body against the Devil...our God reigns).

DH does know that I made this request in here.

Update on OP:

DH has been cheered up by a lot of support from some other members of the staff, and feedback indicating they really value his work.

There will be a meeting on Thursday at which either the "squeaky wheel" will be removed from his post, or he will have to agree to explain his behaviours which breached the code of conduct, and start complying with it instead. I have no preference, and I hope no vengeful intent, just a socially healthy environment for all concerned.

Thank you again, I ask Jesus to please bless all those who are offering supportive prayers over this, including those who have not posted or used a button. I ask this especially to be so for those who can relate over workplace team problems and/or the mental health difficulty.
