• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Elisablaze, that's a plugin link I didn't have, thanks for posting it. I use BladePro, Redfield Plus, Eye Candy, Flaming Pear and Toadies, among others.

Why don't you show us some of your work. I've attached a couple of sigs I created for another forum.

OB, a cautionary word; be patient, be very patient. I remember when I first purchased PSP, my friends had convinced me it was a great program. Once I loaded it and looked it over, I thought they were crazy! It takes a little while to learn the different functions and tools and features. Don't get too disappointed if you don't grasp something the first time. Look at some of those links we posted, take your time. And ask any question you think of. Again, I'm no expert but if we can't answer a question we should be able to lead you to an answer. Most importantly, have fun ;)

Hi silas, PSP 7 is a great program and you can do almost anything in it that can be done in Photoshop. I haven't heard of Irfanview...what does it do?

Bryce and Vue are 3D landscaping generators...great for scenery and indoor rooms. Poser is a figure manipulation program. You start off with a 3D figure similar to a manican (sp?). Then you add hair, clothes, props, and skin textures and pose the figure or figures. You can then import them into Vue or Bryce and add them to your scenes.

I just read that I can insert a picture here so I will try it with one that I created at Easter using Poser and Vue with lots of postwork in Photoshop. I hope this works and that I'm not breaking any rules on image size or bandwidth.

You created that? From scratch? (I hope I sound impressed 'cause I am). That is great. I guess I have to check out those programs. I'd love to be able to create something like that. Show me more

Hi silas, thank you...here is my latest one, I was doing a logo for the women's ministry in our church just using the lady and bird...but decided to turn it into a picture too...this one is done almost totally in Poser with a lighting filter added in PhotoShop. It's called Setting Captives Free... Isaiah 61:1 He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives...

Dawn,

Setting Captives Free didn't display (it appears you mis-typed the URL- it should be http://www.ourexpressions.com/photopost/data/500/2logoyuma1.jpg).
I backtracked the path to Ourexpressions.com and viewed your other works (I hope you don't mind). You are very talented. I do plan to look into those 3D graphics programs and see if I could create art as beautiful as that you have done.

Sunny, we have that in common. LOL! I've learned more about PSP7 than I ever imagined by trying a bunch of tutorials. Each one tends to introduce me to elements & functions in the program which are eye-openers. I've never been the swiftest guy in class, but I sure enjoy learning new stuff in graphics.
