  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi. I enjoy creating, modifying and animating graphics, using Jasc's Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop. I used to belong to a number of forums where participants shared and displayed their efforts and even offered tutorials on how to create complex designs and signatures. I don't profess to be an expert, but I do get a kick out of working with graphics. I wonder if anyone here shares that interest.

That is very nice. I see you have an appreciation for fine felines. Here is my baby. Typically finicky and very independent, but I love her dearly.

I have a little fellow, he is a foundling.
How long have you been using PSP and which version do you use?
I have PSP 8 with all the bells and whistles.
And I have tons of tuts if you want any.

hi

I have never done anything like this, IT looks so cool.

How does one get started in doing something like this.

OB

First you need Paint shop pro..it's a graphic program...and then you need a lot of patience:)
You can download a 30 day trial version of PSP at www.jasc.com
And then depending on what you want to do you find the tutorial and away you go.

Sweetkitty,

I've been using PSP7 for a couple of years now. I subscribe to a PSP newsgroup where I've seen mixed reviews on version 8. Are you happy with it? Was it a difficult adjustment? I'm constantly learning new things about PSP.

BTW, I just checked my Favorites folder, I have 63 PSP sites saved, most of which are tuts. But you know what they say; you can never have too many tuts ;)

OpenBook,

If you decide to try the trial version of PSP, let us know. We can direct you to a number of beginners sites and I'm sure we'll both be happy to answer any questions you might have,

Silas

Silas, if they are hosted somewhere on the net all you have to do is to copy them and paste them in the reply field here.

Great stuff! Love the moving water! Reminds me of my immersion this past weekend!

This stuff is very cool, is there anyway I can do that with Adobe Photoshop 7.0? that is what I have.

Adobe Photoshop 7 came with Adobe Image Ready 7 which I believe allows you to create animated images. If you bought the program you should have gotten the book. The book tells how to use it. I have yet to dive into the Image Ready stuff....but I want to.
