  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Bible by topic – Life
Intro
welcome to bible by topic. A series of books dedicated to providing useful and meaningful insight into the bible on a specific topic. In this book I will be writing about life and what the bible says about your life with God. It will mostly be focused on the path God has set out for you, which is an amazing one. There is a beautiful poem which will sum up your walk with god, “Footprints in the Sand”. An amazing and perfect view of Gods love and care. Well worth a read.

God's path for you
God has a plan and a use for every single one of us, you, me, and the guy beside you at the bus stop this morning. When you give your life to God, he rewards you with a good life. He takes your sin and gives you peace, in the dark he provides light, he walks with you in the good and carries you through the hardest of times.

To start this off one of my favourite and also the second most read verse in the bible Jeremiah 29:11
“I say this because I know what I am planning for you,” says the Lord. “I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future.”(NCV)

Its amazing how for each of the 7 billion people, that’s seven with nine zeros after it, God has a unique and perfect plan for each of them. God has a life he planned for you, before you were even born. A good plan for each and everyone of us. From birth God has searched for you, if he has not yet found you he still is still searching for you.

On a bit of a tangent here is a quick look back at my life and struggles before I met god. Skip this bit if it does not interest you but it might help you relate. Before I met God and got saved I was probably one of the biggest good for nothings you could have ever met. I was caught up in the wrong. I got caught up in drugs, 5 or 6 days every week would be little more than a few memories of me buying or preparing my drugs. Days on end would pass and it was like having a fast forward button pressed continuously on my life, it was waiting and like the sand in an hour glass it was running out, it needed to be turned around and given a fresh start. I used to be very smart, amazing with numbers, really productive and dedicated. I got into secondary school with an A grade. Sailed through most of my years at school until I was 15 and started using drugs. After a year and a half I found God. I was saved and my hour glass was flipped giving me a fresh start without my chemical man made addictions. I will never be the guy I was, but I don't want to be, cause in my walk with god, I know he doesn’t want perfection, crystal clear honest lives, he wants my life and all the dirt and imperfections it contains. He has a plan for me, to use my imperfections and dirt to improve my life not to tarnish it. I have saw this in the past many times, had I have not done what I did, I would have not been able to do half the amazing things or helped as many people as I have. God took my wasted life and made it work.

"...well evidently you're explanation part seemed even better than your manuscript there..." ventured the goblin never one to critic much anyway, but than confiding "...well, I guess writing is different things to different people now, and where in its continued practice, that of posting while adding a picture to each post then, three things will occur within you I promise, you'll gain a writer's way with words, an illustrator's eye, and a shared life, however, much like when you took drugs back then, what you do now will do you back too, so this writing lark is not something to be taken lightly now, it too is mind altering then...", the goblin looked down at his hands, and then back at teenagekiddo, sighing "...no, the reader usually moves on at some point yet the writer is not so lucky here, for he remains with that shared life within his head still, which can be a bit like a bad trip at times, one with no off-switch neither, for what you write writes you back again and again and again, so be careful how you proceed is all I'm saying..."
