  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I just work full time, 40+ hours a week. We actually can get in trouble if we put in 50+ hours if we don't have a special deal worked out.

Yup, this is probably a big part of why I always got sick in November and February. Several weeks of easily 90+ hour weeks.

a unit is a measure of credit for each class. For example, a class may range from 1-4 units depending on the amount of involvement (a lab class is typically four units because you'll get around three hours of lecture and 2-4 hours of lab work per week; but a basic recreational class like golfing might be 1 unit because it doesn't require much work in or out of class). U.S. students generally measure their course load by how many units they take per semester (3-9/semester for part-timers and 12-18 for full-timers).

Interesting. Sounds complicated! It's probably not in practice though :)

In the US, I usually have 5 classes that are 3 hours each per week. For my semester abroad in the UK, I had 4 classes, 2 hours each. Each class will transfer as 3 or 4 credits, so 12-16 total. Still full-time. It's just a different system. More independent study.

Thanks for backing me up, haha! ;)

Nah I don't think it's any easier or harder than the UK system, just different.
