Dude, we went through this yesterday, I've had enough.? Convenient way to try for plausible deniability ?
SIR ! Most of [christians] are hypocrits. Most of the [whole world] is not saved.
THEREFORE SIRE, I'd like permission to stay with them all. [I don't want to be saved either]
Who knows other than God, maybe no Christian today is a real Christian.Blind post. Sorry.
Is salvation in our hands? No -- and yes. Salvation is a monergistic work of God. But God does not force us into His family. We must, in the end, make a choice to receive the salvation God enables us to perceive and understand.
What are we supposed to work out? Read the next verse:
Philippians 2:13
13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
We work out only what God has first worked into us. Our "work" is to submit, receive, and transmit. We are conduits into whom and through whom God communicates Himself.
Why do Christians try to work out the salvation of others? I don't know what you mean. No one can work out the salvation of another. We all of us must have our own relationship with God. There are no second-hand Christians.
Selah.
Who knows other than God, maybe no Christian today is a real Christian.
Yeah, but in every (Most idiot) Christian head, they're saved.I'm not sure why my comments would prompt you to write this...
The Bible is very clear that we can know if we are truly born again. It even gives the criteria by which to test ourselves to see if we are in the faith. No one has to wonder about whether or not they are really saved; they can know for sure if they are - or are not.
Selah.
What about the Christians who desire to follow Jesus but feel they're not good enough.
Ooo, so that's normal...then I was on the right pathThat's how every Christian should feel, because none of us were, are, or ever will be "good enough."
Five stars *****The word there in Philippians 2 is salvation in the sense of deliverance. By faith, people work out deliverance to the situations they find themselves in, while God works in them.
Who followed Y'SHUA ? (in the NEW TESTAMENT)That's how every Christian should feel, because none of us were, are, or ever will be "good enough."
Oh yeah, tell me more about this stuff.I felt that way for a long time, till I realized the spirit of God inside. I grew and found Joy, and wonderful love. I'm still growing too, wow, wonders whats next.
Yeah, but in every (Most idiot) Christian head, they're saved.
What about the Christians who desire to follow Jesus but feel they're not good enough. For some reason the gospel has different effects on people.
I wonder what it's like to think you're saved, through and through.
I want (No need) to get there.
KFC thanks. And this is why it is so important to understand the entire Gospel. Over the last sixty years or so it has been slowly watered down to the silly "your best life now" version of today. In some corners of the world, the Christian religion has been made a cultural artifact, devoid of any personal relationship with God, full instead of ritual, and hierarchy, and tradition.
No one is good enough to deserve fellowship with God. He gives it to us because He is a good and loving God, not because there is something desirable, something good, in us. So, the person who feels they are not good enough for God is simply recognizing the truth. But, wonderfully, this is no barrier to God loving us and relating with us. Because He is good and loving, He reaches down to us in our sin and corruption and offers us new life in His Son.
To know you're saved is a joy, a great, great joy and a well-spring of deep peace.
Revelation 3:20
20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Selah.
Is it because you're making a connection to Life itself? Its not something I can easily put into words. Its joy that makes my heart sing.
