Hello,

Well some of you know my wife has started Part Time at Lowes Home Improvement in the Garden Department, but during the Winter they are cutting hours Pretty Bad.

She is bored off her Keister and we could use a little more money than what she is getting with 10 hours a week.

Does Anyone Know of any Work From Home Programs that Are Legitimate? Definitely not looking for one of those Get Rich Quick Scams. We just want something Stupid she can do to make a little bit of money?!?!

Also if one of you Ladies Can post this in the Womens Gossip Forum, I would Greatly Appreciate it...

Thanks !!!

Only 10% of the "Work from Home" businesses opportunities are legit. 90% of the opportunities are not legit. I recommend you do alot of research before you decide.

You can do some research by looking into the following sites:
The National Association of Home Based Businesses, (NAHBB)

Home Business Magazine

Entrepreneur.com, Inc.'s Guide to Home-Base Business

Awesome, I will set the wifey into looking into these !!!

Heather could do that, she's worked in Retail for a long time.

Mystery shopping can be cool - if you can do many of them. To make ends meet last year I did alot.

The pay is OK but you also sometimes keep the stuff you buy. I was able to suppliment our grocery shopping this way! and last night my DH and I enjoyed a "date night" at Outback for free....

I would suggest searching under mystery shopper. I had to send in like $25 to access all the different companies.

As a seasoned Mystery shopper---WARNING!! you should NEVER pay to access all the companies.

The company Volition I posted is a free website. Go there, look under "mystery shopping companies" and apply to all of them- FOR FREE!!

there are scams out there that say you have to pay-you dont.

It is an absolute scam to pay for something (the list) that you can get for free on Volition (a free site with about 100 mystery shopping companies and the contact links listed).

yes-you will get assignments. BUT you will get them by just getting the list for free and applying.

it is a scam to charge someone for something that they can get for free.

I used to do mystery shopping. Don't pay any company though. There are lots of great companies to shop for that don't have fees to get started. It is really easy to get started and brings in some "play" money...not a lot of cash though.

Has she thought of waitressing at nights? I did that for years throughout high school. You bring in more than $100 a night in tips...plus you get a small salary.

I started doing secret shopping and then found merchandising thru volition I work in different stores as an employee to a merchandising company. I work 3-4 days a week (set my own schedule around my life- not life around a job) and only work about 3-5 hrs a day. I started out with a set 7 hrs a week and then I got all the accts this company takes care of in town, which upped my time. I only have to work the 7 hrs a week to make my van payment, which is all my husband needs for me to do for us to make it. :)

Good luck- I love this kind of work.

I started a work from home job about 1 1/2 months ago. What I do is online tutoring for school students. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the website or not, but if your wife is interested, just PM me. The subject areas I tutor are English (elementary-12th grade) and elementary math and middle grades math (4th-8th grades). I believe they are looking for tutors right now. Probationary tutors make $8 per hour, but once you meet the criteria to move up to tutor 1 status, you make $10 per hour. Tutor 2 makes $11 and Tutor 3 makes $12. The money is pretty good and it is actually fun work. They allow you to work up to 30 hours per week tutoring, so there is potential to make very good money.

Before being hired, there is a lengthy application to fill out that includes doing mock tutoring samples. If all looks good on the application, then the company will set up an online mock session with a tutoring mentor that is already employed with the company. If this session goes well, then the company will perform a background check and then you can start tutoring! Before I filled out the application myself, I check the company out the with the Better Business Bureau. And they definitely pay, because I have already received 2 checks. Checks are mailed once a month. In order to qualify to be a tutor, it is required that applicants have a college degree or to be currently working on a degree. (Any degree is fine, it does not have to be in the education field).

There are a wide variety of subjects to tutor, including Elementary Science and Math, English, Social Studies, various maths (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, etc.), various sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, etc.), and even Science and Math in Spanish! There are many other subjects too, I just can't remember them all. With my experience with it so far, it is a very good job. The pay is pretty good, I enjoy the work, and it is great supplemental income!

If you are interested, just send me a PM, and I will send you the website. Let me know if you have any questions! :)
