  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've been in Haiti for a little while now doing work for a few NGO's. I've had time to post a few images on my blog:

josephmolieri.com/wordpress

I'd make it a link but I'm not allowed because I have a low post count.

Today started off the 3 days of prayer and I was honored to be at a few of these gatherings which were just amazing. I am begining to see why Jesus chose to spend his time with the outcasts and poor. There is qualities that develop through their hardship that are so profound.

Right now you'd be hard pressed to find someone in Haiti that did not lose a family member or friend and at these gatherings there is just an amazing sense of worship. Not of questioning or challenging or bitterness but just an outpouring of worship. I don't have any photos or footage from these events up yet but I will in the coming days.

Thanks LeightonH. Sorry about that. I'm glad I was able to shed a little light.

There's been some pretty intense stuff here but I've personally decided it isn't overly useful to photograph other than for the drama factor. I really wish to make images that show a more human side of things through relatable emotions. If that is possible.
