  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

NO kidding. You still haven't addressed these explicit scripture passages which tell us God's purpose.

And you have not addressed my scriptures..All sub purposes are suboridnate to Gods Primary purpose, That is Gods eternal purpose in christ Jesus..

eph 3:

8Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, 11According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

The world was created to be a grandstand of the manifold wosdom of God in the salvation of His church which included the salvation of gentiles..

look at vs 10:
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Sin was part of this eternal purpose..

Then what did Paul mean by his words? Please address that as I asked you. Was it a truth or not?

Rom 5:12-14 KJV Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (13) (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. (14) Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

Rom 5:12-14 ESV Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned-- (13) for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law. (14) Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.

Verse 13 cannot be divorced from the passage as a stand-alone verse. Verses 12 through 14 stand as a complete thought. Paul indicates that even though there was no Law, the law of Sin and Death was in effect BEFORE the Law of Moses. What one must do is see that Paul's reference to the Law in verse 13 was in reference to the Law of Moses. Verse 14 starts with "Yet", indicating that verse 13 does not set aside the clear fact that the Law of Sin and Death was in effect from the moment Adam sinned.

Therefore, JimfromOhio's point stands. Romans 5:13 does not indicate that anyone was innocent.

He atoned for the sins of the whole world.

Yes for all his elect around the whole world and from the beginning of the world.

All we have to do is accept his gift.

Its not an offer its given as inheritance..

The weakness in on our side, not his."

our weaknesses have nothing to do with this..

Jesus christ gives His elect , sheep eternal life..
