pray and worship God 3 hours per day, pray and fast 2 days per week, and read and study 10 chapters of the bible per day
What if I can only pray for 2 hours a day and fast 1 day a week. And maybe my bible study time is taken up by looking after a family and working full time so I only get 15 minutes a day. What then?

Talk about Him when you sit in your house with your children , when you get up and when you lie down for the night , and all through the day. It is worked into who we are and becomes a part of our daily routine.

Deu 6:4 HEAR, O ISRAEL: THE LORD OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE.
Deu 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Deu 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thy heart;
Deu 6:7 and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Deu 6:8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thy hand, and they shall be for frontlets between thine eyes.
Deu 6:9 And thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates.

Right now is a special season of warfare and so we should be even more diligent.

I agree with you Yitzchak but my comments were being facetious as it was set out like a definite legalistic prescription for total success in your walk with God. Of course we commune with him all day. When I get up and when we lie down thou art with me O Lord.
I just was wondering where gulfstream was coming from with his comments.

gulfstream sorry if my question upset you. I didn't mean it to as I said I was seeking more input about this. My emphasis is not on actual time time spent doing this or that but on my heart relationship with the Lord. It does take time to get to know His word and fellowhsip with him in prayer and worship so I guess you have a super fine relationship with him and are full of power to minister. Way to go. :clap:

Hello Smiler33, I just wanted to say that you are not alone. As a matter of fact I never had any blasphemous thoughts until AFTER I was filled with the Holy Spirit and was really moving towards God. Befor that I was cruising along my merry way. When you really start moving upwards it seems like the enemy starts pushing against you. My problem was that I didn't go for help for a long time, and really didn't know the truth about the thoughts until after it had really effected me and had gone on for a few months. I would say just keep on praying and knowing that the thoughts and feelings are not your own. From what it looks like you are already doing all of the right things. Know that just by being a Christian you ruffle the evil ones feathers, haha.

My husband had an attack of fear just after getting saved. I am not sure if it was before or after he got filled with the Holy Spirit. It was crazy but as my hubby said he had realized that God was real so also realized that satan was also real. He wasn't strong enough in the Lord to just immediately rebuke the fear with the Sword of the Spirit (the word of God) but with group prayer and ministry the harrassment left him. Surround yourself with the Word, with fellowship of mature believers. Bring your concerns immediately to the Lord, rebuke negative guilt and speak the word over your life.
eg. 2Cr 5:17Therefore, if I am in Christ, I am a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2Ti 1:7For God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
1Jo 5:14Now this is the confidence that I have in Him, that if I ask anything according to His will, He hears me.
I find this kind of prayer helps me a lot. gg
