Word - " Until ..."

Greetings all ,

Recently in my hearing came this word from The Lord -

" Until you realize that other people are not your enemies , you cannot even begin to start loving me ."

Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers? <-----> Malachi 2:10

Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: <-----> Romans 3:29

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. <-----> Romans 10:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. <-----> Ephesians 6:12

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? <-----> 1st John 4:20

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. <-----> 1st John 3:10+12

No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. <-----> 1st John 4:12

While David knew that King Saul was out to kill him (1 Samuel 27:1), he never once treated him like an enemy. Matter of fact just the opposite was true. There are several scriptures to support this, but one of my all time favorite scripture portions is found in 2 Samuel 1:19-27. Verse 23 says, "Saul and Jonathan [were] lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions."

No matter what King Saul did to him, David always respected the anointing Saul had received earlier in his life.

David truly knew the love of God, and was a man after God's own heart.

that is awesome stuff! I think one problem we all have today is that we blame "peer pressure" or our friends for the things we do wrong and claim them as the "enemy" trying to bring us down when it is really just our own flesh!

Yea ,

We are called to follow Christ . And Christ led by example . Wherefore , we are to also follow His Example , and lead by example - as it is written :

...Love your enemies , bless them that curse you , do good to them that hate you , and pray for them which despitefully use you , and persecute you ; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in Heaven ... <-----> Mattthew 5:44+45

If we reciprocate the unloving spirit of those who count us as their enemy , we fail to follow Christ's Example of leading by example ; but when we show mercy , kindness , patience + good will instead , we are in sync and in harmony with Jesus & our Heavenly Father ; and that Sacred Bond enables and affords so much more than could ever be gained or experienced through aligning ourselves with any other !

... The salvation of the righteous is of the Lord : he is their strength in the time of trouble .
And the Lord shall help them , and deliver them from the wicked , and save them , because they trust in him . <-----> Psalm 37:39+40

Zec 7:9 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:


and continuing in Matthew:

Mat 5:46-48 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
