Word don't hurt?

So I was on another Christian Forum, and meet a wonderful godly woman, she was a totally Proverb 31 woman, let her know about it too. Things were going fine maybe better, but...

Than I read something she wrote, and I let the devil really trip me up. I misread it, and instead of politey asking what she meant, I just pulled out the Bible (my Sword) and use my offensive weapon too cut deeply and wrongfully. I mean what I wrote was so full of venom, I think I could have literally taught the devil how to be cruel. She challenge me on this and if it wasn't bad enough what I had written to her, I offer a guarded apology. Really all I want to do right now is to offer a genuine apology of how sorry I'm, but I asked the site to cancel my account, and/or banned me. So now I can't even tell her how truly sorry I'm that I was a total Troll/Tool x infinity. We all talk about physical abuse but verbal abuse at times can really be must more damaging.

Words really can hurt people, especially when we as Christian let the devil start talking about a brother or sister in Christ, instead of telling him to shut up. Because if we listen to him, we start to agree with his lies and become the devil advocate. Please pray for God mercy toward me, and especially to this young lady. Because of this incident that happen just over a week ago I'm spiritually sick with myself, I know better than this
II Corinthians 2:11.

Please take this as a warning and don't allow yourself to fall for this favorite tactic of the devil, the only one who wins in this situation is the devil.

Just because you read things doesn't mean you have to believe everything everyone says. Their actions show who they are more then anything.

hmmmm; it's good you want to apologize. Never assume what people mean and use that excuse to slay them with your words. Especially if you consider them a friend. Ask what they mean first. The tongue has a lot of power and the damage by it can be deep.

Yeah well sometimes it's better to think a bit even if you're referring to the Bible. I got in a pretty big argument with a friend even though I was referring to the Bible, but maybe I just wanted to be right. Maybe you had the same problem? Just apologize that's all you can do in my opinion.

Everyone says things in a moment of frustration/anger/etc. that they don't mean and would never say any other time. Mistakes happen, everyone slips up in their words. I would say that you are being too hard on yourself. Please don't misunderstand me, there's nothing wrong with feeling about or sorry about misspeaking or hurting someone but you shouldn't beat yourself up like this over just a one time event, it's not good for your psyche to beat yourself up over things like this.
