• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

If someone committed the unforgivable sin would they think about God at all? Would they want Chrisitanity to end? Would they hate God? If someone were to be given over to a depraved mind could they still be forgiven? With OCD instead of feeling guilt could it be anger towards the thoughts? With OCD if you fear something happening can you cause it to happen by fearing it and thinking about it too much to the point you believe it's true? For example like forgeting about God or that you are completely unforgivable because you reached that point to where no matter what God did you would be blind to it.

Yes I have been for a little while. I know that people say if you're worried about it then you haven't done it. I guess I'm even more worried now because when I have thoughts I don't want I don't get the extreme guilt I used to I get extrememly angry at the thoughts and I don't know if that means I have a spiritual problem.

Have you read some of the other threads in the OCD forum? They are very helpful. You are not the only one struggling with blasphemous thoughts.
This has helped me Col 2:13
13When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature,[a] God made you[b] alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. 15And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.[c]
Make sure to check out the other threads under OCD and ask questions you will get a lot of helpful answers and many people would love to share their stories with you.
Also another good site for help is net-burst.net

I hope this helps and message me if you need any help...~

There are many people that struggle with thinkingthat they have comitted the unforgivable..
There isan awesome site called net-burst.net/guilty/sin.htm

That has many testimonies.

Also there are a few other threads inthe forums under OCD that I think you could get answers from. A verse that helps me is Col 2:13-15
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Col 2:14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Col 2:15[And] having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
I hope this helps and keep checking back.. If you need any help just message me. I'd be glad to help in any way that I can.
