I know that mine is just another opinion in this never ending debate BUT.
Why does this whole argument have to be based on the past. I thought Jesus was alive today and was playing a powerfull roll in his kingdom.
Do people not have relationships with him anymore?
Does he not Guide and lead people to do his works here on earth?
Is it we who control his church or does he have a say in the matter?
If God is calling people into his ministry do we have the right to tell him he is wrong?
( please don't give me the argument that it is not him who is doing the calling, It's not likely to be satan either. why would he want to build up Gods kingdom.)
Moving on.
Do women do a good job in ministering to Gods people? the answer to that has to be yes because women priests are highly thought of in the church. About 1% will have a moan and maybe leave that perticular church where women are preaching but from what I have seen they are welcomed with open arms.
I know many women clergy and the feedback is allways the same.
I bet some people on here don't even attend church all that often and so are clueless as to what God is actually doing in the world. I know of one lady on these forums who does not go to church at all but still thinks she is all clued up on what God is doing today And before someone else says it. No, you don't have to go to church to be a christian but where else will you find out about what God is doing here and now? I would rather rely on peoples testemonies in church than in the queue at Sainsburys.
Do you see where I am coming from. Our God is a God of change and we have to follow him even if we don't understand why.
Lets stop living in the past and ask God what he wants us to do today.
Just off to get my helmet now and wait for the flack to come over. ^_^

Yes but no one has been able to explain how a woman who has the authority and permission of the church to preach is then usurping - grabbing, snatching by force - authority.
...ah! they're called 'paper mills', places where 'ordinations' are bought rather than earned. anyone can do it, and the best thing is, you're accountible to no one! so you can preach/teach just about anything under the Sun and get away with it! and they do....for now, that is.

Are you suggesting that women priests are all ordained via diploma mills?

My Church ordains women priests who go through the exact same training as male priests. Perhaps you'd like to back this up?

I can preach/teach anything under the sun. IF ANYONE WILL LISTEN.
It doesn,t matter how many bits of paper you have to say you can do this or that. Unless you have a checkable background, no one will just let you loose in thier church.
You could allways build your own i surpose.
(bit of a pointless post this one)
