  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It's starting to get ridiculous in recent films, marriages or any male-female relationships have to be interracial ALL the time if it's not a gay or lesbian couple (even same sex couples need to be interracial as well!).

Yet racism is still strongly portrayed because all the colored actors have to behave like white people.

It's not like in the past where Black characters can act like Blacks in portrayal of their vibrant culture

Now, Black actors should act like white people all the time. This is cultural racism,

It's certainly not true that "marriages or any male-female relationships have to be interracial ALL the time."

Nor is it true that "all the colored actors have to behave like white people."

And it would not be cultural racism if black actors (or black people in the real world) "behaved like white people." This is the United States and segregation was made illegal nationwide sixty years ago. Did it occur to you that we've had two generations of black people who have been living among white people--even in white neighborhoods--who now naturally behave like white people because that's the environment in which they and even their parents were raised?

However, there is still racism in Hollywood, particularly behind the camera. Anthony Mackie (who acts as "The Falcon/Captain America" in Marvel movies) noted that for "The Black Panther," the director and most of the production crew was black as a tribute to a mostly black movie cast that the company could boast about in social media. But, he noted, somehow none of those black production crew members ever get hired for any of the other Marvel movies.

It was also exposed by an insider that for the Disney production Star Wars: The Acolyte, the producers decided up front that the lead actor would be biracial (which has nothing to do with the character), and not only biracial but of a specific level of biracial appearance (I guess there is a "Goldilocks" biracial appearance that Hollywood recognizes). That was the first characteristic they looked for to find someone to play the part.
