With all that is going on in the world, how has it drawn you closer to God?

For some people it takes a tragic event like Septemer 11th, 2001, or events like war, or threats of nuclear retaliation for them to come closer to God.  We seen it displayed in just about every church globally.  Attendance sky rocketed after the first few months!  Then as soon as complacency set back in, attendance hopelessly dwindled down.

Where do you stand on this issue?  Are you a Christian that requires explosive events to take place in your life to get you to come to the Altar of God?  If so, may I suggest every day be a tragic event in your life!

The tragic thing about it is Jesus Christ, a man sinless, perfect in all things, died for me, a sinner!

Just a thought!

I have just been recently pulling closer to God after running as far as away from Him as possible, and just pretneding there are no problems ever. Silly girl me, God never let my spirit rest for minute :)
Now, i'm just seeking to be shelter in His care, doing my part, and praying for the world.

I always view it that God allowed you to survive through it all.

I remember having appendicitis on... Thanksgiving break:) Luckily for me, God brought my brother down from college on the day it happened and finished his stay on the day I got back from the hospital so that we could have an available car for me to go to the hospital and come back. It also kept my brother at the house so that there was someone to stay home with my sister. OOOHH so much more! But for time sake, I finish with this... when I awoke from surgery on Sunday morning, I turned on the TV to a Christian station and the program was Adrian Rodgers preaching on "Giving Thanks to God in tough times" lol Isn't God awesome!?!? :D

Made me rethink the meaning of "Jehovah Jireh" :)
