The last time I got a new mouse I had to choose one that was not on display for me to hold. It is bigger than I wanted, but all of the small mice were wireless. The most important feature for me is a cord. Without one, it is guaranteed I will have to change the batteries. I had a wireless mouse that died suddenly without warning when I was in the middle of something three times, all in thev same year, with new batteries. It seems almost no wired mice can be held in stores. I need to hold wired mice in stores to know if they are comfortable for my small hand. What is a good way to make sure I can comfortably hold a wired mouse?

Buy them online from a store you can return to, like Walmart or Amazon. Amazon will also allow returns to Kohls stores too, if you have one near you.

I suggest the Logitech G203 https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Pro...keywords=g203&qid=1556131628&s=gateway&sr=8-1

I have the "G Pro" which has an identical shape but has a better sensor for gaming and better buttons. I think it's a good shape, is considered "small" and is wired. One issue with mine is the right click has became light meaning it clicks too easily sometimes.

Tbh I don't think there's much noticeable difference between my mouse and the G203.

It's a gaming mouse so as far as I know they consider different hand types and sizes when the design they mouse. A major downside is they're more expensive than a standard mouse.

My current mouse is the first laser one I can remember and way too sensitive. It scrolls when I just move my hand to adjust the hold. So I am going back to optical mice. I don't play games.
Ah ok, you can change the dpi on the g203 and it is optical as far as I know. I can't really think of any others to suggest

I'm not a gamer either, and I'm using an optical mouse. It's not big, just nice for a girl's hand to hold, and it's quiet. Though it may not be wired, but Logitech is a pretty reliable brand. I have been using this brand for a long time and most of the mouse that I used lasted for at least 3 years or longer. Since you don't play game, get one that is sleek and simple.

This is the one I'm using now. (You can get a higher model of this)

The logitech mx series has a serious design problem. Not sure if it expands to their other series. They all develop a spring issue where it double clicks instead of single click.

I use the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 4000 series now and it works excellent. The only thing I miss from the Logitech is the free scroll (you can scroll 1000s of lines of text easily).
