Wiped out :(

Well I had a beta Fish in one of the "small Beta Bowles" did more reading, and realized that he needed to be upgraded (Good for me I thought)

So, Upgraded him to a 5 Gallon tank w/ filter & such.

So far so good.

Then decided to add 2 more fish(dont ask small black tips, about 2 Inches full grown)

1 Week goes buy so far so good

Then one of the new ones vanishes ???

Found it, dead, stuck in the filter (Did it try to nemo it ??)

2 Days later Ditto the second one.

Not looking good

Last night my beta had white spots all over him & was listless, googled, saw I can add some medicien to the water to help, This morning when I was to get it (Pet stores were closed last night) found the last one dead

Should of left em in the beta bowl..

Now what.

I figure Ill put a little bleach in the water & run the filter for a few days to kill anything that might be hiding in the rocks / filter / plant(plastic) ect..

Then Flush the whole system, Refill & run , Flush & Refill and try again.


Any other advice ??

Aww.. I'm sorry. =(
My grandmother had a beta that lived for a long, looong time, and she kept it in a regular round fish bowl that had some kind of water plant growing on the top, so that the roots were in the center of the bowl and the fish could swim around them. Know what I mean? Hmm come to think of it I used to go to a restaurant that had a beta in the same kind of bowl, with the plant and everything. I think they do better that way. You might want to do a search on Yahoo or something to find out what kind of plant, bowl, etc is good for beta fish. I hope this helps! And again, I'm sorry you lost all your fish. =(
