  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I just wanted to let you all know about this year's Winterjam concert. It is coming to an area near you soon, and it is going to feature some pretty sweet bands this year... including:

Newsboys
TobyMac
NewSong
ZoeGirl
Hawk Nelson
Krystal Meyers
David Nasser

They are also featuring the sphere of fear this year. A motorcycle show where they ride in a big metal sphere. Very cool. The nice part about it all is that it's only 10 dollars at the door to get in. No tickets required! This event has been a great force in bringing younger people to Christ, and this year should be no different. Not only will it be an awesome time, but it's an opportunity to witness to others!

You can check out the tour website here: http://jamtour.com/ to get all the tour dates and information.

There is also an ecard that you can check out here: http://www.buzzplant.com/winterjam/2006/ecard/ it features a video and all the artist and tour information as well.

I also am a member of Ground Force network. It's a group that helps promote Christian events and products. They are looking for people to promote the concert in their area. If you are in the area of one of the shows, or just want to help spread the word online, go to the website and sign up. You can win some pretty cool exclusive prizes for your efforts including free music and concert tickets. Here is the link to join up: http://www.groundforcenetwork.com/viewcampaign.aspx?campaignid=26

So, I hope to see you all at the show! Let me know what you think. Anyone planning on going?

I'm definitely going. I love the line-up, and it's a tradition to see Newsboys every year, and I'm pretty sure it's their only Florida date this year. If only Jars of Clay would be there. then again, I'd die of happiness, which is not a good thing. ;)

Be prepared for a bit of a shock in the newsboys set. You may or may not recognize the guitarist...... ;)

Yeah I know, Jody left to help care for his sick daughter, which I thought was a great thing to do. But it was probably hard for him and the band both. They had been together so long, but family does come first! :)

No, after Jody. It's been Bryan Olesen of Casting Pearls for the past oh, 15 months or so. But Bryan recently announced he's leaving the 'boys to focus on CP and his family more.

Look closer. It might just be someone else you recognize.

Cool Beans! :D

I hope to go myself. The closest venue to me is in Saginaw Michigan, which is about a 2 to 3 hour drive. I really want to go, and 10 bucks is an amazing price for such a lineup. I have been working on getting a few people together so maybe we can carpool. I wonder if they will post more dates, or if this is it? The lineup is amazing. Thanks for all the responses.
