  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Yes they do indeed. I got a couple bottles in the fridge. I love drinking it in the summer. It's only 4% alcohol & I'm a cheap drunk. So for me, it's just perfect for relaxing without getting zonked!

As if Catholics need another excuse for drinking.
Jesus drank Welch`s Grape Juice.
Is in the Bible, the most perfect version, the KJV.
Please read the Bible more.

I loved wine! When I used to drink, a Merlot was one of my favorites but I did like a cab also. Red Rose' is a more sweet and very tasty red wine and is also the wine that is primarily used by the Church for Communion.

As a general rule of taste, dry wines go best with sweet food such as chocolate whereas sweeter wines go better with spicy food. I think the driest red I've ever tried was a Burgundy, talk about pucker power.

4-8 ounces of Red wine is extremely good for a person. Very good for circulation, heart and anti-aging. The dryer the wine the better the benefits. I remember reading in the Old Testament about wine, it was something along the lines of "Wine is a gift from God that makes man's heart sing" - funny, now science has proved it is indeed good for the heart.

mmmm sounds nice

I go to a pub, get a little to eat, some nice bread and olives and a half liter of cabernet sauvignon, me and a friend split it, I will pay one time and he will pay the next. I think the workers at the pub think we are gay

Ohhhhh, I love wine too. The regular ones I drink because of budget that are acceptable in flavor is Yellow Tail Shiraz, and Simply Red (a MI made wine) which is a really good table read. Both run around $8.00 to $9.00 a bottle, but I always go to the discount stores to get them. Also a newer wine that I tasted was a Red Crush and a White Lexia (might be MI wine also), both run about $12.00 a bottle and have really good flavor an light for the summer.

I stay away from ports, not a fan. My x-sil who lives in CA and workers at a winery told me when they get out the port, watch out, you know they are now loaded.^_^

THE BOTTLE OF WINE

For all of us who are married, were married, wish
we were married, or wish we weren't married, this
is something to smile about the next time you see a
bottle of wine:

Sally was driving home from one of her business
trips in Northern Arizona when she saw an elderly
Navajo woman walking on the side of the road.

As the trip was a long and quiet one, she stopped
the car and asked the Navajo woman if she would like
a ride.

With a silent nod of thanks, the woman got into
the car.

Resuming the journey, Sally tried in vain to make
a bit of small talk with the Navajo woman. The old
woman just sat silently, looking intently at
everything she saw, studying every little detail,
until she noticed a brown bag on the seat next to
Sally.

"What in bag?" asked the old woman.

Sally looked down at the brown bag and said, "It's
a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband."

The Navajo woman was silent for another moment or
two...
Then speaking with the quiet wisdom of an elder,
she said:
"Good trade."

^_^^_^^_^ What a crack up!

:D:D I had heard that before, not with wine but with a box of chocolates.

My father-in-law came to visit us today, and he brought us a bottle of Samos wine, a sweet muscat dessert wine from the Greek island Samos. Mmmmmm.

Sounds good. A friend shared some wine with me that she brought back from Italy (white wine), it was so good, a tad sweet and a taste of fruit. Don't know what the heck the name of it was though. I guess I will never know now, I am not in touch with her any longer.
