hi j davis. Well I was just visiting windsor three weeks back. My friends took me to see the sights. We went to Calisantes (sp?) out in the country. We went across the border to margaritatown for monday night canadian at par fajitas. We went down to the waterfront and went rollerblading. But as for night-life, didn't seem to be much. I do know that my friends are involved in a softball league in the summer and a ball hockey league in the winter. I guess that's something to do in windsor!
If it makes you feel any better, hamilton is pretty boring! (that's where I am)

It's been 10 years since I was home. I miss Windsor

Detroit...Tons of stuff!
See a ballgame
Greektown
Ren Cen
Belle Isle

Did you not just see North America's biggest fireworks last week?

Do a search, there's tons of stuff to do in my old home town so quit your complaining!

Windsor rocks! Plenty of shopping, the riverwalk is awesome, the people are nicer. I'd much rather live in Windsor, ON than where I currently live! Windsor is close to many other places with a lot to do just like what JC101FM mentioned. I love going to Pelee. I haven't been to the Island yet but the park itself is neat. There's also Ojibway park (I assume it's still there?). It's kind of neat.

There is nothing to do in Windsor. I moved away 13 years ago to a much better place. British Columbia. You might want to consider that as well. Windsor is the cancer capital of Canada.
The only thing that seems interesting to do is to buy a boat(or borrow a friends) and take a cruise out in the Great Lakes.
The summer sucks cause of the smog, and winter is not much better cause your nose hairs freeze as soon as a you step outside your house.
Now if that sounds fun to you, it's all yours!!!
A nice clear day with the sun shining out on your patio overlooking the beautiful mountains....now that is refreshing.
Anyhow, I did not mean to burst your bubble, but you are limited to what you can do there.
My suggestions are go dirt biking, sailing, Cedar Point Amusement Park(Ohio).
Have fun...

I wonder how many people from BC came from Windsor? I did: and am I ever glad I left! Go BC!!! Windsor's beaches are so poluted now and Detriot has really gone down hill.... so J Davis, my advice to you is to move to Victoria!!! (we aren't giving you much help with you situation, eh? :sorry: :p )

And yes, BC really is "heaven on earth" (you cracked me up hoosiercanuck!) but the living expenses are hell.

Yes, I was checking that out online one night while bored....I guess that's why I'm stuck being a 'HOOSIERCanuck' instead of a Proud BCer! lol!!

Someday.....someday.......*sigh* :)

Well if you were female, I would tell you what all the females do....they go across the border to shop in Detroit! (Even window shopping is nice there...)

Or you could go to Colisante's Garden Centre in Leamington! (By the way, Leamington has a nice clean beach in it too!)

Or if you lived downtown Windsor like I did, you could also hang out at Dieppe Gardens & say hi to all the tourists & fisherman down there (yes, they still fish in that old polluted river).

In the winter, the kids go cross country skiing & they go ice skating at the community centres. My sister who still lives there loves to go to play Bingo once a week & my brother just hangs out at his friends having "porch parties" all summer long.

What you need to do is make some friends in Windsor (which shouldn't be too hard) & they will point you to the way to keep entertained down there.
