Scripture says;
Romans 7:18 (NASB)
For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good [is] not.
“the willing is present”
What was this “willing”?
It was a “willing to do righteousness”
This is what is necessary to grow in Christ, the willingness to do righteousness in all things. Without this constant and abiding will to righteousness, one can be saved but will remain a babe in Christ.
It is this constant demanding ever present will. That demands obedience to righteousness that is that that will be filled.
Scripture says;
John 7:17 (NASB)
"If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or [whether] I speak from Myself.
“willing to do”
Once again we see the “doing” separated from the “willing”. It is the willing that was and is necessary for all growth in Christ. This constant willing for more, regardless of where, and what, or how much, or little, we have grown in Christ. It is this willing and desire that will not be denied. That will be like a unquenchable fire, that the more of Christ it consumes the more of Christ it demands, the more of Christ it demands the more of Christ it consumes. It is this heart that will be answered and filled, and as scripture says “will know of the doctrine”
The heart itself will be its own witness, for the peace and love of God will so fill the heart with itself, that nothing but loving righteousness, and the God of righteousness will be its ever present will. For righteousness is that which we have been called to. Knowning this simple truth;
“that God can not bless a lie”
We as His children have been called into the truth. That we might know the truth, whereby we can and will walk in righteousness before our Creator. Oh blessed be the heart that longs to have this manifested in itself, for that heart most certainly will be filled.
Blessings as we cry out to God to make us “willing to be willing” to search and seek after righteousness in all things.
Blessings,
much love in Christ, Not me
