I know, I know. Most people will probably say, Radhead you've got it all wrong. It's the Righteous Brothers. They're the ones. Yes, I know. I know. But that's only sort of true. It's really Willie. He's the one. Just give it a listen. Perhaps you'll agree.

I enjoy Willie Nelson's singing. Even Kenny Rogers.


Every time I hear that other version (the original, no?), I unfortunately think of the movie Ghost. Like, every... time.

Willie's voice is kind of an acquired taste. Unchained melody was my first exposure to 50's music and the reason I delved into it years ago. So, whoever sings this song, I'll like it I'm sure.

DON'T. lol Because if you do, you're going to hear that song and rather than thinking about your own romance with whomever you're with at the time, you're going to think of this strange love affair between a ghost and his former lover and of Whoopi Goldberg doing a seance wherein [spoiler alert..].

I guess that's why I've never seen it. I've heard that's it's really sad, and I'm one of those that cant' "shake" a movie of that intensity...for a while. I'll take your word on it then. As for the song, I really don't hear the words though. It's all in the melody for me. It was a couple years or so before I knew there were words to it.
