Sorry I'm hopeless at colours and matching colours.
All that occured to be is, how will you see it in the dark, does it glow or does it have a distinctive scent?

I think that blue thing between the two plants is a fiber optics lamp. I've got something similar, from the 1970's. But I guess we can't tell him how it will look in the dark until it gets dark.

I never had one, but it is a fiber optic decor meaning it will mildly glow at night if plugged in.

I think they can look pretty...near the plants is a nice place.

I believe kids today think they are in the 70's (new hippies they are... lol) so stuff like that is back in style.

Sure it does. I love colourful lights they give comfy athmosphere with plants. I have pink light in my livingroom.

You remember lavalamps? I absolutely love them.
