Will there be more people in Heaven than in hell?

It's a number no man can count. You can't tell me that he'll is also a number no man can count. Especially when scripture is silent on the number of the lost. (Yes I realize Jesus said many will go to hell but he also said many will be saved as well).

In Matt 7 Jesus said the "many" go to hell and only the "few" go to heaven.

Yet Jesus "draws ALL mankind unto Him" John 12:32. He is not willing that any should perish 2 Peter 3 --yet the "many" in fact do perish.

For me the logic of Matthew 7:13 seems clear: fewer will enter by the narrow gate than by the wide. But this may well describe the ratio of entry, not necessarily the final number. By Judgement there may well be effectively countless numbers in both Heaven and Hell.

In the statement the only way to a good ending according to Christ -- is entry through that one gate. People who do not enter through it don't get a good outcome according to Matt 7.

What is more "the many" are further shown to fail in vs 21 -23 in the final judgment.

13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

You have thought about it, that's a start that many are too afraid to approach.

If few in every generation will see the pearly gates, and they are said to be too numerous to count toward the end, then the general population of the human species ever created would then be suffering in torment, a sort of reality that can be very conflicting to swallow for a believer who is investigating the full implications of certain statements made in the scriptures. Spurgeon understood the implications, but refused to believe it, idealistically, in the same way that most Reformed confessions state that there is such a thing as an "elect infant," though the scriptures say nothing about it. It is based on the silence of early childhood death in light of original sin. Again, the full implications can be conflicting.

The word hell didn’t exist when the scriptures were written. It was added in the 16th century.
