We've all heard that the gospel is the birth, life, death & resurrection of Christ, but how exactly did Christ save us from under His own law that justly condemns us? The answer is the gospel.

Yes, but this Gospel is that Christ has rescued humanity from the power of sin and death, not from a deity angered by transgressions of "the law".

If we have been delivered from sin why are we still sinning?

If we have been delivered from death why are we still dying?

Christ delivered us from under the curse of the law, which is the 2nd death.

We have been delivered from death. We all shall share in Christ's resurrection, instead of being annihilated by the nothingness of existence (or lack thereof) apart from the life of God.

That's the 2nd death. None of us have been delivered from the 1st death.

Now, what about sin? If we have been delivered from sin why are we sinning? And please don't tell me we have because 1 John 1:8 says, "If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves....."

You see the gospel is what Christ did in our corporate humanity, not what He does in you as a believer. Failure to understand this truth always leads to legalism.

Rom 8:1 " Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin (the sin nature) and death (the 2nd death)."

So our humanity that was "in Christ" was delivered from both the sin nature and the curse of the law. This is only true in Christ, not in and of ourselves. In and of ourselves we still die our first death and we still fall short of God's agape love.

Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man (Adam) sin (singular) entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned....

Where did "all men" sin? Answer: "In Adam". You see we all come from one man, Adam. He is the head of the human race. Even Eve came from Adam's side.

When Adam sinned his humanity (which is our humanity) became bent to self. Instead of reflecting the self-emptying agape God, Adam became self-consumed. Because all of us share Adam's fallen humanity we stand condemned and as a result all of us die. You can see this in 1 Cor 15:22 where Paul says that "in Adam all die"!

Verse 18 So then as through one one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men. 19 For as through the one man’s disobedience the many (i.e., all men) were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous (future tense - refers to the resurrection). 20 The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21 so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Men sin because they are separated from the will of God and serve a will of their own. When the Holy Spirit envelops a believer in Savior, He is also the truth and the Spirit wars with the will of the chemistry until the person gives up every opinion that differs from the way things are and submits to the sovereign will of God. Now he is equipped by faith in the Spirit within him to produce the works of God that are prepared for him to do. Since this is true love in action, it fulfills all requirements for life and godliness, all righteousness and holiness. This makes us the effects of the good news so we ARE the gospel.

Good works (the genuine stuff) are the result of (not the means) of resting in Christ's finished work. And these works do not prove your righteousness, but your faith. We are still sinners saved by grace. To state otherwise is a deception....

The good works are the result of God willing and doing us while we rest in Him and watch ourselves do what is right. We are crucified, that is, we are dead even thought we live as a new creature. You may not understand what I am trying to convey, but deceived I am not. I live my testimony.

That's nice, but it won't merit you heaven. You stand perfect in Christ alone....
Not alone setyoufree but with the few. This is the difference between living in the world of men and the kingdom of heaven. It is the first death(I have been crucified with Christ.) It is the rest that is given to the children of God. (not I but The Sent One in me is willing and doing me. I watch and pray)

Christ came to save you from your 2nd death. You didn't die your first death in Christ....you died your 2nd death.
no my crucifiction with the Anointed was my 1st death. I never died before. Now I await my 2nd death(mortal body death) which will not hurt me.

You, the individual, were not alive 2000 years ago when Christ, as the Son of Man, died. You are confused.

Now I await my 2nd death (mortal body death) which will not hurt me.

That's nonsense.

you say nonsense?????? Read Paul's lips:I was crucified with the Anointed One, nevertheless I live. When He died I died. I am dead to sin and alive to God and buddy, you cannot take it away from me :)
but you can share it. The faith I mean. for it was a gift from God.

Not quite. We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has foreordained, that we should walk in them. Eph. 2:10 We do not produce good works. We do the will of the Father and in so doing, we walk in His works; He carries out His life, His plans in and through us.

Corrected thank you, The Spirit in us that does our willing and doing does the works that no man should boast, we do get to wear the white robes which are the righteous acts of the saints.

You can see this in 1 Cor 15:22 where Paul says that "in Adam all die"!
You left off the second part (and most important part) of that sentence: "so in Christ all will be made alive."

Do you think that Paul was advocating Universalism? That's the only conclusion that can be made if you hold to the premise that "because all of us share Adam's fallen humanity we stand condemned "

Yes it is nice and no it won't merit me heaven, but His grace through my faith that He is in me holding me up, giving life to my mortal body, willing and doing me not only gets me into His kingdom, but keeps me there as well.
