Will I go to hell if I convert to another religion?

Yes. But Jesus is the only way is not the same as 'knowing Jesus is the only way'. The first means that only Jesus can save people. The second means that only KNOWING about Jesus can save people.

Some of the things in the Bible are open to interpretation and this is why people have theological debates.
But some things which are in the Bibleblack and white and there cannot be any other interpretation.
If the Bible says that Jesus was born in a stable does that mean that he could have been born in a palace?

Listen:

John 3:16 "for God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son that who ever beleives in him shall not perish but have eternal life. But whoever does not beleive in Him stands condemned because they have not beleived in the name of Gods only son"

Now give me an alternative intrepretation of that verse which does not mean People who beleive in Jesus go to heaven, and people who dont beleive in Jesus go to hell !

and this is clearly one of them. THis isn't the only topic discussing whether or not someone goes to hell for not knowing Jesus.

You did a good job and I'm glad you took the time to show you care...I really do but you're a fundie and that's simply not what I am anymore. I was miserable and couldn't love and show love for people the way I do now.

John 14:6 says
I [jesus] am the WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. There is NO [NONE] way to the Father EXCEPT through ME.

Romans clearly states (i dont have time for a scripture, sorry, but its there) that those who have never heard about what Jesus did for them at the cross will be JUDGED on their CONSCIENCE.

Those who REJECT Jesus will go to HELL.

Its plain and simple, black and white, an absolute correct - its undebateable, undeniable.

The unforgiveable sin is KNOWING the truth about the HOLY SPIRIT but DENYING IT.

Matthew12:31 is the scriptural reference, and Acts 5 shows this in action.

All who reject Jesus until death will go to hell. Those who accept jesus before death will go to heaven. Those who dont know who Jesus is, but listen to their conscience, do what their consciences tell them, will go to heaven.

I believe that Jews who follow the law, as best they can, will also go to heaven. But I have been criticised for this.

I do not know if Muslims will go to heaven, but all I can say is John 14:6.

Its not for us to judge, but it is for us to warn you of the eternal damnation of rejecting Jesus.

Accord to Islam, Jesus was a prophet.
Prophets do NOT lie.
If prophets do not lie then why did Jesus say; I am the way, the truth, and the life, there is NO way to the father exept through me?

I wonder if you see that Jesus is Lord over Mohammed and all Muslims as well? If Jesus is Lord over the religion that you profess... then why fool with the middleman?

- I was leaning toward Islam
- I was going to hell
- I was never a Christian

It was wrong of people to judge, like i said in each post, it is not for us to judge who goes to hell or heaven, but it is for us to tell a brother when they are stepping out of line. I believe people have taken to this issue so strongly because your debate has been on salvation, and clearly some of views have gone against John 14:6.

My humble apologies if I have offended you, unfortunately I cant apologise on others behalfs.

No, I asked a question, I didn't even say _I_ was going to convert. Instead I was told that even asking the question or having any doubts showed I was not 'saved' and therefore was going to hell
