  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Will I be forgiven for this?

I apologized to someone for acting out against them and lying to them last night. After I apologized for the way I acted, I also apologized for lying to them. This person was unaware I lied, so they asked me what part did I lie about. I told them what it was but it was hard for me to spit it out and I didn't say 100% of what I should have said. I believe they got a pretty good understanding about what I was referring to, however, I'm afraid I didn't really repent of the sin. What are your thoughts and advice?

Repentance is to God and I would repent to Him now and go on with life, You have already ask forgiveness from them so now don't let satan beat you up and don't lie anymore.
Trust God :]

You repented or you would not have volunteered the info. If you fumbled the ball so to speak, it doesn't change the fact that you repented.

You confessed and repented to God and moreover to the person you lied to. I would pray for the Lord to remove all false condemnation from you and false guilt because only the Devil condemns.
