CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I live about two hours from LA, it's just heartbreaking to see all this happening to these people."Heavonly Father we pray for the people that have lost their homes because of the terrible fire's. Please Lord wrap your loving arms around them and help them cope with their losses. Lord protect the fireman and the people battling on the front lines, just give them strength and health Lord to continue to fight. Put a protective cloud around them Lord and bring them home safetly. Lord please stop these fire's soon so no more lives and homes may be lost. Help the families that are still there Lord, just protect them and bless them Lord and give them peace of mind. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen."

I just received an email from a friend who lives in El Cajon near San Diego. She said they can see the sky today and sunshine. YaY
