WIKI PROJECT MEMBERS please take note

OK folks, it is time for the Great Purge.

When the wiki started up, just about anybody who sent a PM became a member of the wiki team. We needed warm bodies and articles--even articles of dubious quality--to get this thing going.

It has now been several months. We have some folks who are doing a lot of work. We have some folks who are doing a little work. We have some folks who are doing no work.

The time has come to purge those that no longer have an interest in being on the wiki project. Therefore, if you do not post in this thread before January 31, 2007, or in HQ, you are subject to be removed from the CF wiki team without further notice.

We also have need for newer and fresher wiki members. This means if you wish to become part of the wiki team you may either contact CaDan or RaggedRobin and we will make sure you are entered into the project.

The wiki is a controlled environment.

It works like an encyclopedia.

Its rules are actually simple and although some users disagree with the rules and I must edit their content, all wikis MUST BE NPOV or hold all Points of View, so as to render itself NPOV. You are only allowed to enter facts not your personal beliefs, IOWs you cannot use wiki to preach.

The wiki is a teaching tool. This much is true, but it is is inasmuch as it offers the user all the facts and then allows the user to make the choice.

So say currently we are having a problem with a wiki that had to be removed temporarily because of these reasons. If one is writing say about the Separation of Church and State then they may indeed put in Biblical reference to that and say that the Bible references and SOME Christians believe this way, if they are offering an explanation of those verses. However they cannot say that IT MUST BE looked at this way.

Also the tool is to be used to reach the Non-Christian as well, so therefore representing their viewpoint is well placed on both sides. First it helps us to better understand how to deal with the Non-Christian and secondly it does not alienate them. Therefore further reaching out them and making them more aware of the whole of the context of the wiki including the Christian interpretations.
