"Wicked"

Has anyone seen or heard anything about the new broadway "Wicked"? I love the music and want to go see it but I'm not sure how descent it is. If anyone knows where I could find a Christian musical review site, I'd appreciate it.

yeah theres a lot of stuff about wicked on here....i myself am a major wicked fan, and ive seen it, and i dont think theres anything indecent in it, but im also not christian, so im probably not the best person to ask about it. tho i will say that it is absolutely amazing...

I'm in the high school band here, and we're travelling to New York in March to perform at a few different venues, and while we're there our director is taking us around New York to see various things - one of which being a Broadway play, which I am TERRIBLY excited about. I absolutely love plays, especially musicals.

The play our director is looking into is called "Wicked" - the story of how the witches in the Wizard of Oz came to be how they are. Does anyone know anything about it or have an opinion of it?

Oh my goodness. I LOVE Wicked.

I have the cast recording, and it's SO great. Idina Menzel just blows me away.

Sounds awesome - I love prequels to well-known stories like the Wizard of Oz. I really hope it works out to where we can see it.

wow kewl have fun! it's about the story before dorothy and during! it's really good, check out the wicked site, read the book, listen to the cd! The lead girl who plays Elphaba (the wicked witch of the west) her name is Idina Menzel won best leading actress for the tony awards, it is the original cast except for Glinda *sniff*! It should still be good I'm hopefully seeing it this summer!

I thought I read somewhere months ago that Idina's contract was through January 2005.

But she may have renewed that?

if i was directing i would want to keep origional cast members for as long as possible... but you never know. Im just speculating.
