Why does God continually reject or leave my prayers unanswered all the while he is blessings others?

I am almost to the point of not praying any more. I pour out my heart to him in prayer; I cry and pray with all that is left within me and yet He does nothing :sigh:

I am honestly losing hope

God never fails to answer a prayer if it is going to glorify Him in the end.

Perhaps what you are praying for isn't somthing that is best for God or isn't best for God to work in your life. Or perhaps He is answering your prayer and you have failed to see how - or maybe you should simply keep praying so that it will be answered, providing it will glorify Him of course.

Always remember - God does things in His own time. We cannot order Him around like a pet. He is the All Powerful and he loves you very, very much. He will always do what's best for you, even if it means making you suffer while on this earth.

What is it you want? You know, we have to pray according to God's will or He will say no to us, especially if we ask amiss for things just to satisfy a lust or desire.
If we are patient and continue in prayer, and ask for the right things we will be blessed beyond measure, but God is looking for people that will truly be willing to go out and do some good things for others....not just consuming everything of His on themselves. He was a servant to all mankind and so are we all to be.
Keep on asking and learning what pleases God. Never give up on God. He hears every prayer but knows what is best for us and what will make us grow and bear fruit in our lives. Sometimes it is the denying us of some things that makes us grow into better people, willing to share with others and be more like Jesus, but other times we are like Job and just have to wait and go through the fire with faith so that it will have its perfect work done in our lives and make us stronger in trusting Him.
Consider His Word with me, if you please:

1John 5:14 And we can be confident that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will.

Heb 10:35 Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord, no matter what happens. Remember the great reward it brings you!

1Jo 3:22 And we will receive whatever we request because we obey him and do the things that please him.

James 4:3 And even when you do ask, you don’t get it because your whole motive is wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.

Mt 7:7 "Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened.
8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks.

1Th 4:1 Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You are doing this already, and we encourage you to do so more and more.

1Peter 1:7 These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

I believe God gives us things when he thinks we're ready; challenges given to teach us something. Maybe you have not learnt what you need to so you must "suffer" until you do.

God doesn't want us to suffer, he wants us to grow & learn. Try to see your problem as a temporary glitch and live with it. If you need support, we are all here to support each other.

My blessings!

If you have ever prayed for patience, this kind of thing is exactly what happens to you. You end up having to wait for things for a long time so your patience grows. Then the things that you used to be impatient about (short things like waiting for someone to get out of the bathroom) aren't so bad anymore... Just keep praying and let your paitence be tested and abound.

I was where you are a few years back. I was tired of waiting and distant from God. About the only answer I can give you is that all things happen in God's time and that his plans are better than our plans. I know this is probably of little to no comfort, but it is the truth. I hope it does help to know that others among the faithful have been through the same thing.

Greetings Jesaiah ,

Once we've made our request , we need't make it over and over again .

If what we desire isn't granted , then we should pray concerning this .

Pray that God would reveal why our prayer isn't being answered .

Pray that if there is something which needs change , in order for our prayer to be answered , that we will understand and be able with The Lord's help to make those changes .

And then if our prayer is still unanswered -
Pray , that we can endure well the time , while we wait upon God to grant our request .

Pray in faith . That is : pray in line with what is understood to be God's will ; for if we ask for things which God wills for us to have in possession , we can ask without doubting .

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
<-----> Matthew 6:7+8

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. <-----> Psalm 66:18

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. <-----> Matthew 21:22

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
<-----> John 14:12-14

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
<-----> James 5:7+8

...Measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. <-----> 2nd Corinthians 10:12

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering...<-----> James 1:5+6

May The Lord Be Pleased To Bless .

In Jesus Name . Amen .

This a very good point, Jesiah. Patience is an important fruit of the Spirit. It is a difficult one to learn and most do not pray for it, but God wants us to have it.

Ga. 5:22 But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, and self-control. Here there is no conflict with the law.

Lu 21:19 "By your patience possess your souls.

I don't know. Sometimes He says "yes", sometimes "no", sometimes "wait".

What has helped me here is counting the blessings I do have. It helps me remember that God hasn't forgotten me.

Thank you, twisted. In my life I have found that God regularly tells me to "wait". I prayed for a wife, God said "wait". I went out and found a girl on my own, God said "Hey I said wait". That relationship blew up in my face. I quit praying for a wife and started praying for my future wife and God set her right in front of me.

As far as this goes,

God doesn't care about how often we ask for something as long as we ask. This passage is refering to "chanting" prayers which we aren't supposed to do. Not to be calling another religion "heathen" but what this passage is more closely refering to what muslims do during their prayer.

God does care how often we ask for something. In this passage, He was referring to "chanting." And I think the point is that we need to have focused prayers and not just pray to pray.

Luke 18:1-8 "Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.' "For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!' " And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

God honors persistence in prayer. But we just have to keep in mind that His timing is not our own. As Christians we go through times of suffering to mature our faith.

James 1:2-4 My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing.

I don't know what you are asking for. I agree with the other posts. Maybe you are asking the wrong thing or it is not the will of God for you. Or maybe God wants you to learn to wait. I am also in a situation where I have question God "why." It's a legitimate question, but all I hear from the Lord is " wait" and "trust me that I want the best for you." Jeremiah 29:11 says, " For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future." I don't know if you are delighting yourself in the Lord but if you are He promised that if you delight yourself by seeking His face, He will fufill the desires of your heart (Ps. 37:4).

Jesaiah ( l like your name!) the greatest thing you could ask from the Lord in which He could not say "no" is for more of Him. He wants to have an intimate relationship with you like with Moses and David. Will you seek Him? Will you still love Him even if He will not answer your prayers? You know He is worthy of our everything. Don't focus on the temporal things, focus on Him. Isn't that awesome that we are going to be with Him for billions of billions years. Life here on earth is short. "The world and it's desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever" 1 John 2:17. BE BLESSED, GOD LOVES YOU THAT HE DIED FOR YOU.

Don't lose hope!! God answers every prayer. Sometimes it isn't answered the way we want, and sometimes it isn't in the time we want, but He hears and answers everything. Maybe His answer in this case is just no. I have had the same thing happen to me. There was something I prayed about a lot, and I wanted it to happen. God never did grant that request. I have learned some things about the situation I didn't know before, and now I see God's infintie wisdom. If he had granted me that request, I would have been in a bigger mess than I could have dreamed of!!!! God always knows best about what we do and don't need. Trust in Him, he won't lead you astray. I will keep you in my prayers!!!

sometimes its just that way.. God dont give us things right away..and if they are not his will for us..then we wont get it...
i dont know what you are praying about..
but i know first handed..that if your praying for things to change or happen in your life
then you need to get up and make change for your life.
we have to prove ourselfs to God ..and try our best ..before God will help us..
if we are sitting back and being lazy.. but praying for something that we can do.. i think its sensless... sometimes we have to take things in our own hands.. to see God move. i mostly pray for protection of my loved ones..and i thank God for my life and my family.. and i pray for my lost loved ones.. and thank God for what hes done in my life.. i do not pray for a house.. money....material things.. we live in a world ..where we can work ..and have things.. education.. them answers are in front of us..
praying for healing and things like that is Good.. but for material things.. i just dont see the need in it.. the bible tells us that God knows what we have need of even before we pray.

I've told this one before on CF.
There was once a wall collapsed in a woman's house. She called in a builder to fix it and find out why it had collapsed. The builder came and told her that the backery next door had turned on it's machine every morning for twenty years. Every vibration worked on it until after 20 years it collapsed.
The moral of the story is that you may pray for years working like the little vibrations but eventually the wall will colllapse. It only takes that last little vibration to do it! Persevere and keep going!
