CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I know just what you mean. Me and a girl have had an on off relationship for years now. We always seem to fight when we are together, yet cant seem to stay away from one another.Why is it, the one you seem to connect with the most.. in a boy/girl love thang usually is one that will never work?
We have not seen each other for a few months now, we went cold turkey.
It was very tough at first but i am definetly moving on now. She will always have a special place in my heart, we both knew it couldn't continue though. It sucks at first but it is for the best, i believe in fate and i feel we are both meant for others.

That's a good question, I know exactly what you mean.
I thought things between a friend and I were going great, we connected in so many ways and spent about every day together. He moved, we still kept in contact by talking on the phone then he met a girl and is getting married in a couple of months. I really cared about him and he will always have a place in my heart.

I know how you feel, I knew a girl in high school that was ok being friends but was not interested in ever dating me. I really liked her from the 7th grade all the way through high school and really did not give up on her until my sophmore year of college. I'm glad she is no longer in my life because of how much it hurt me. I know she is married right now and I sincerly hope she is happy. And if she ever did come back into my life I would do anything in my power to help her if she needed it.
Sort of one of those bittersweet things.

I almost responded incorrectly to the above post since I misread it. I think one day you may get what you didnt know you wanted, but was much better than you had originally thought you wanted. Then you will say to yourself "Wait, why did I get this? How can I have this? What did I do to deserve this?"

When I was younger that always used to be the case wih me. It either it was me that was interested and she wasn't, or it was vice versa. But I can honestly say that is not a problem now. It's becasue God has really worked in my life and is showing me the truth through Jis word. It has totally changed my thinking and it is such a blessing. I honestly believe with all my heart that idf we do seek God with ALL our hearts, than He will grant us the desires of our hearts, if we read His word and kwe are able to ask for things that are not for the lusts of our flesh.

not that at all..or at least in my case..
back a few years ago it would not have made a difference..
Now with a few wise years behind me I know it would never work..I do not things are cut and dry..it took me a while to relaize it was not going to work and 2 months to end it.

I think it is our mindset.. I do not think it has anything with what we deserve but it is all about timing..
People come into our lives to teach us things.. short term or longterm
