Very good points made about the way pride and our thinking can interfere with our relationship with God. Thanks for making me ponder.
"As a man thinketh . . ." Hmm, makes you want to spend a little time thinking about what you think about doesn't it?
We aren't and won't be perfect here, but we are blameless through Christ. Spending time in the Word to know just who the Bible says we are, through Jesus Christ, is better than spending time pondering our humanness.
Praise Him! Praise Him! For praise is the garment that covers our heaviness. It is a spiritual tool that grows us closer to God, and matures us spiritually. Praise Him in the heavy times, and He will give us beauty for ashes! Is 61:3 shows us how God has already provided a way for us, if we obey.
May we remember that it's us He desires, now, not after we've perfected ourselves, for we can't anyway, only He can. After all, He was the one that gave us the faith to believe, and He will move us from faith to more faith, from glory to more glory, if we only believe that He is who His Word says He is, and that He will do what His Word says He will do. We must believe that we are exactly what His Word says that we are, and we can do all things through Christ. Let that living Word lead all we think about, say or do today and tomorrow and every day until we see Him face to face!
