why do ppl of other religions get on Christian forums? just a wonderment

I got on here to familiarize myself with Christian thought on various issues
besides what I vaguely remembered from my Christian upbringing, and what
was being presented by Chick tracts and televangelists. It's something my
parents, and my teachers, instilled in me: have a well formed opinion on
something, and learn about it from all possible sides. Now, why this forum
and not others? Because this one isn't somebody's personal little ego trip,
unlike other forums I've seen. It's a very well constructed site, all told.

I came here just out of curiosity. Really, I came to see if all Christians are alike or not. Thank Unelanvhi, they are not!

I've been interested in this particular Forum because i like the way it's setup.

I appreciate the varety of views expressed and that there are commonalities in views among people regardless of their denominations and beliefs.

Another area that i appreciate is doing some more research on the Bible and the Qur'an as well as other religions.

Learning to get along with people can also be a benefit here. It's also a good opportunity to see what kind of thought processes people have from different backgrounds.

I think we are all "human" in our expressions from time to time and on the whole most people i've encountered here Christians included seem to strive to do what they think is right.

i actually bumped into this forum by accident, i had a poke around and there were some interesting topics of conversation, so i though, hey why not sign up, so i did, i love it here. i think it's good to have many different people from all religions on here because lets face it, the same topics, with the same poeple, with the same point of view, the same beliefs.........pretty dull isn't it really.

Because I don't want to limit my understanding to only the religions I agree with. I go to many different forums to just talk with people of all religions, or philosophy. The more I understand... the better I see.

I stumbled upon this site while doing a google search(I don't remember what I was searching for) and found it to be very exhaustive covering everything from Heavy Metal to Halleluja! So I decided to sign up so that I can browse the non-christian religions forum (to talk about Hinduism and to learn other philosophies) and secular music forum(to chat about my favorite type of music, heavy metal-80s stuff ala Motorhead, Maiden, Judas Priest etc.

Well, I don't usually. However this one looked very interesting, and every now and then I have the uncontrollable urge to do something Christian, like join a Christian forum.

Besides, I'm always up for studying other religions.
