Why won't God answer me?

Seems to me it's Chirst in us who is the hope of Glory!

To think for a second we can do this or that apart from His operating in us in unfounded belief..

But to say that He can do all things in and through us, well, can't really go wrong with that!

And, to stick with the thread's theme I will say this;

Appropriating the Life of Jesus is by faith..

No new revelations, but I have realized exactly where i stand in the matter. I'm at the awkward stage where I won't believe until i see reason to and I won't see reason to until I believe. I have a feeling I'll be stuck here for a while. Thanks for the input everyone.

I may not be an adult, but I know of what you speek of. Blind Faith. For a long time I was mad at God because he never showed me miricals or answered my prayers. He didn't even appear to be there. Until one day (When I had officually had enough of God) he came to me through a story. It was about a boy who had the same problem as me, and at the end of the story I read my answer I had always been looking for... God doesn't come when you just want him, when you want him to do something, anything, just so you can have the knowledge of his existance. He comes when he knows you are ready to follow him, to love him, to fear him and honor him knowing that with him, you will forever be safe, forever be loved, and forever be heard. You WILL hear from him...like I once did, but it won't be when you want him...it'll be when you need him.

Boy turns to leave...but the teacher calls him back.
Teacher says- You won't find him, but he'll find you.

As you know, I am an athiest, but that does not mean I reject anything. I simply don't believe there is a God until I am presented with further evidence, much like how science works.
Anyways, I've read several places on this forum that one must only call out to God for him to touch your heart, yet I tried this, and nothing happened. I know blind faith is one of the requirements, but I can't just lie to myself until I have it. Actually, why is blind faith a requirement? God reveals himself directly to thousands of people in the Bible.
Back to my question though. Am I doing something wrong? Or do I have the method wrong? The call I spoke aloud was: God, in the interest of knowledge I request you reaveal yourself to me, so that I may know if you truly exist or not.

I personally think it's b/c of two things your calling out to him, but you have to have faith for it to work.You need to have faith and believe that he will you and answer. Also, the way that you did, also was wondering when you were praying what did you have in your heart did you truely believe he could do it.
