To answer the question, I am a Christian because I realize Jesus is the Son of God, because He died a gruesome death for our sins, and because if a good man is willing to die for us in such a manner, I think it prudent to examine His teachings and try to live our lives as He dictated. I am a Christian because God loved me first, because, despite my personal battles, He has never left my side, and because He has a plan for all of us and the world we live in.

thank you, travis. someone needed to say that, though I woudl advise you to repost it in a different section, namely one in the Christian section of the forum (there's christian and non christian sections) becasue it's not likely to get noticed by nearly enough people as need be. I for one know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am Born Again. read about it in my testimony - there's a link to it in my sig. I have heard it said that a tiny fraction of those who profess themselves to be Christians are truely Christians, and it frightnes me to think that when the rapture takes place, a small % of all of us will join Christ in the air, and the rest will be left behind, gapeing at the sight before them, and not able to save themselves. after all, the bible says that all those who know about God but have not accepted him will never be able to return once the rapture takes place. It is very comforting to know that I Know that I KNOW that I will go to Heaven when I die.

thank you again, and welcome to CF

Welcome and Wow Trav,

You have a lot to say right from the get-go, a burden for the lost, and a brisk no mincing word style that’s sure to stand out. Sounds like you’re in the right place, but don’t be surprised if you get a few bumps and bruises along the way.
I’m an oldie, and I don’t know much about insane clowns, but I have noticed that although CF is namely “Christian” with “UNITING ALL CHRISTIANS AS ONE BODY” as its mission statement, it’s structured as much for non-believers as it is for those of us in the Body of Christ.

It operates as an outreach to the community at large, where wandering pilgrims and lost souls can cross paths and, by God’s grace, be enlightened, encouraged, and share in a unique ministry to computer users who might not make it to the doorstep of other ministries (even among Christians).
Hopefully, you will find it a place where you can express both your joy in the Lord, and your sadness for those who are perishing.

God bless you, brother.

Wow, you jump right in with both feet don't you? I think the message of the sinfulness of man needs to be preached more. However, I don't think the type of music someone listens to has any bearing on their salvation. At the Bema seat our works will be tried as by fire, and some will have nothing left except their salvation. We certainly do need to live lives that are holy. I share your concern for those who believe they are 'good enough' to get into Heaven. There is only one Way, one Truth, and one Life.

In His Name

Thank you so much for your feedback Machin and Hopper. I will re-post this in a different area.

"the bible says that all those who know about God but have not accepted him will never be able to return once the rapture takes place" - This was from Machin

I have not seen this in the Bible. It has been my understanding that those who miss the rapture, will have to go through the tribulation, and will probably end up losing their lives if they do not accept the mark on the hand or the forehead, but I have not seen anything about them being lost forever. I sure hope not, I think a lot of my family will probably only come to faith after the rapture if it happens in our lifetime (but I will work on them!).
