  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Why we Sin? We have a sin nature before we are saved, by nature we are children of wrath. Our thoughts processes, our emotional processes have been toward sin, there is a sin nature and our first responses typically are to protect ourselves, to uphold our own selfishness, to figure out ways we can live our lust in varies ways-many application to it. So, I believe as unbelievers their nature is sinful, as believers we have the Holy Spirit living in us, but we still have an unrenewed mind to a degree. The whole challenge of spirituality is to renew our mind over the decades so my mind is more renewed now compared to years ago, but I am still renewing my mind. Basically we fall into sin because our mind is not fully renewed and it takes effort and time through reading the bible for our mind to be more and more renewed.

From my own experience, God allows us to choose between sin and purity. Even though sinful acts tend to be more enjoyable & tempting in the short term, God wants us to step over our sinful nature and commit to a better life for him. So sin is similar to a test & you'll go to heaven if you pass.

We commit sins because what we see affects us more than knowing what God said. It's called unbelief, and is a problem that is solved by knowing and believing what God said instead of what our reasoning informs us.
