why we do not believe secular scientists

its not an error. this is what happens in life. no matter the area, secular science is finite and does not last forever; it is not worth putting your trust in for it will fail and the results can be worse than what was demonstrated yesterday.

let's do another one--the titanic---touted as the strongest ship in the world among other boasts. yet couldn't with stand a hit from an iceberg.

or how about the hindenburg blimp?? filled with hydrogen, a volitile gas...highly touted...blows up in new jersey i believe.

shall i continue?? secular science, evolution are not what you put your trust in--God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are, for their work is eternal.

I believe you are mistaken on key issues
I believe it is our duty as Christians to seek knowledge about God and His creation. In other words - to be scientists. I believe He gave us intellect, sense and reason for us to use these traits.
Sure, we're not to listen to the world. But I do not think we are meant to be separate as in not existent among non-christians. We need to be in the world but separate in how we act and what we do. We're supposed to be beacons of love. I do not see anywhere any indication of us being supposed to ignore the astounding beauty and truth science has revealed.
At times I can read articles or watch new scientific discoveries about this world, and I must admit that I become rather unmanly - I get deeply moved by it. Moved by the beauty and the grace of all creation. I get joy from it. Happy so happy to know more about what God made. How he made it. It all enlarges the picture, and as one sees more facets, more parts of it the beauty increases.
I don't need to discount truth to believe in God and Christ. I embrace it, and let the whole shine into my heart and mind. I marvel at it and praise Him for it.
Am I separate from the world? I hope so. I think so. I see fruits of Christ in my life. I yearn for more of that as I yearn for more knowledge.

i have never said a believer doesn't get knowledge, i have said that they are not to follow the world's thinking.

also, one does not have to be a scientist to get knowledge.

again, you assume that all science does is good and of God and that is not the case. there is a force deceiving the world and one needs todiscern thus science is not all good and a believer needs to separate from the world's view and promote God's.

ask for discernment with your quest for knowledge, learn that in all the world , especially science, there is deception at work and don't let your enthusiasm over-rule your head.

secular science does not lead to the truth but away from it and God.

RMS Titanic, "flagship" of the American owned White Star company, is a most interesting choice as an example.

Niether the owners, nor the designer nor the builders claimed the Titanic was unsinkable. That claim emenated from the popular press, rarely regarded as "scientists".

You seem to be putting an awful lot of trust in the physics that makes the electronics in your computer work! People every day put their 'trust' in the secular science behind atheist/secular doctors and nurses. I drive through a tunnel everyday to get to work, the tunnel is 30 years old, for 30 years secular science has keep all those drivers safe. Your errors keep piling up archie, you choose one or two extreme examples for your flimsy thesis while there are millions of positive examples of the benefits secular science provides for you and millions of others worldwide each single day, but you choose to blinker yourself to it.

Seems like anything, science warns about the problems and people ignore it. The bridge's safety reason was considered deficient, but due to lack of funding, it wasn't repaired. It's not science's fault that people don't listen. Just look a the Creationists that completely ignore science and make up their own "theories".

What does this have to do with science? Are you suggesting the 'secular' science didn't know that hydrogen was explosive while creationists did?

What a silly attempt to discredit science. If that is the best you can come up with, keep doing what you are doing.

When you life is saved by medical devices, safety devices, and life saving procedures, do you thank 'secular science'? If not, why not?

I think we broke archaeologist. Since everything is done through secular science, and not "Creationist Science", he has to try to find anything bad that ever happened, and attribute it to science. Too bad that kind of reasoning would quickly invalidate Christianity seeing how we burned all those witches and such.

nope. i am making a point using an illustration, that no matter what secular science does, God trumps all. you can't stop death, aging, broken bones, illnesses, disease and so on. what God has ordained secular science cannot change or alter.

don't pass the buck,or change the point---secular science built it and it can't last. warnings mean nothing when the product is finite; the fault lies with the manufacturer.

Have you ever received any health care, medicines, seen a doctor, etc... in your entire life? If the answer is yes, why did you do it instead of putting it directly into God's hand? If it's your time to go because you have the flu and developed complications, it's your time to go.

Hey, you really should know something about a field of research before you make such bold statements.

I am an IT consultant, and I can make statements about an error before I even see the server where the problem is at. It is called making 'educated guesses'.
It is not far fetch at all, but it can be a sign of them knowing their field of research.
