The New Testament canon is irrelevant to the Book of Enoch's status within the Bible. Besides, you should be qualifying your statements with something like, "my denomination of Christianity teaches". Also the Roman Catholic Church did not yet exist when the Bible was canonized.

I am not restricted ot it by same said authority... in fact, that is why I speak so positively about the value of the Book of Enoch here.. because I do not accept the authority... it is between God and myself as to what God will use to inspire me regarding His Kingdom.

I do not accept any Catholic corruptions of scripture.

I must warn you all that, although The Book of Enoch is a divinely inspired word, it also has some Gnostic corruptions in it. The editor of Enoch, RH Charles; marks a number of places that are corrupted.

Some misinformation never seems to die.

One continues to read online the concerns of a few posters that the Book of Enoch is a gnostic work. I have tried repeatedly to discover the reasons this myth is so persistent. Usually I find people are simply repeating what someone else has related to them.

So, I will try one more time, Judaic Christian, please post your reasons why you feel there are gnostic teachings, and/or influences within the Book of Enoch. If you cannot, don't be too embarrassed, I've never known anyone else to even attempt to point them out when asked. So I'm asking, please show us what you believe to be gnostic influences in the book .

By the way, RH Charles never said their was gnosticism in the book either.
