And we have members who are openly and proudly proclaim themselves "anti wof".several issues are at an impass, Dids.
nearly everything that WOF believes in, non-WOF does not, and vice versa.
I stand by what I said, Pete. There has been no appreciable exodus from this forum and I do not remember a time when we consistently had 20-30 afternoon members posting in this SFPC forum. If we had that many, it was a fluke. The number has remained virtually the same throughout my time here (since 2004). The only time I remember it dropping was soon after the forum changed ownership but it rebounded within weeks.

The congregational and faith group forums were designed to be safe havens from debate. The General Theology forums is were if you want to debate or have your beliefs challenged that is where you are supposed to go. The SF/C forum is supposed to be a place where we can go to get away from the debates, back biting, and strife.
Because of the many different beliefs within the charismatic movement there has always been alot of debate here in this forum none the less. That is why CF then created the SF/C debate forum. That is the place to go if you want to debate amongst other charismatics. That's fine, beautiful, but most of us act as though that forum doesn't exist. This general forum is not suppose to have any debate yet people do it anyhow.
So here's my final suggestion. If nothing is to be done with spliting up the forums then I ask that a rule be put in place and very strickly followed and enforced. Absolutely no debate in the general forum, debate is only for the debate forum. You can fellowship and ask questions in the general forum but that is all anyone can do. And the mod staff has to stop letting threads in the general forum turn into debates. When a thread turns into a debate you either move the thread to the debate forum or close the thread down.
Simply no topics on healing whatsoever, period.Do you mean that WOFers (and those who share their views) would not be allowed to post anything about faith healing and physical healing being in the atonement or anything like that?
That would make for a rather quiet forum, IMO.
I agree. I do not go by that statement. I was never asked and I do not agree with all of it. But who agrees with everything anyways.the current WOF statement of faith is what someone else believes that we believe, and what was written for us by someone who is not WOF.
we had no choice in the matter of what passes as our statement of faith.
i have a copy of what we actually believe.
A house divided against itself cannot stand.
If you had a "joe's fellowship church" with a room off to the side called "non-joes fellowship room" how do you think that chruch would fair?
And we have members who are openly and proudly proclaim themselves "anti wof".
How are we to to deal with that?
If you were pentecostal and you went to you went to your church and saw a member with a button that said "anti-pentecostal"... how would you deal with that??? What can you do?
But we have that here? People are openly hostile toward us? It is even a joke with some.
I cannot beleive the mods do not know or see this.
Mods... what are we supposed to think????

Lis my friend I do not have an answer. What we are seeing here is merely a miniature scale version of what is happening in the real world. This sort of thing is not limited to online forums. I think entire churches and denominations are going through this. You may not see it because the church leadership does not let such things come to fruit. They "nip it in the bud." But there is a real "war" occuring for the heart and mind of the body of Christ. There will be a parting of the ways. One side will endure great persecution at the hands of the other. It will be no holds barred. Much like what we see here. Some will not survive (spiritually). But this is true for every age of the church. The body moves on. Those who cannot accept, will stay behind. I am not being mean here... it is just a historic fact.So the answer is two separate houses?
that every day we're getting closer and closer to what Jesus went thru when He was here on earth.

I read one of your posts and blew a gasket. Does that count? Not quite.
You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. Hebrews 12.4

Then I would suggest put a moratorium on the topic of healing and anything that has to do with healing.
