I was starting to become an Islam hater, witch is somthing that I am vary ashamed of......


I have hard time showing my face in religous groupes like this now.

I think for me I was cought up in the momment. Pluse I was new to the religon and was just starting to learn about it. (my own faith) Pluse I was going threw some dark times in my life that Islam played role in (but I dont blame the religon)

I will never know for sure why I acted the way I did but I know I will regert it for the rest of my life....

i think the problem with all of us is we tend to want to appear as Godly and heroes, and want to establish justice and condemn evil. but we are all hypocrite on some level. there are evil and inustice happening in our own backyards that we over look and instead focus on judging others

so i am trying as well to give up or limit this attitude by focusing on personal relations with people. you scratch my back, i scratch yours. you be good to me, i be good to you. you be bad to me, i avoid you and move on. this is how as a conservative muslim i find it much easier to live with those who disrespect or stereotype about islam in the west

First off, I want to admit.. A few months back, I was very anti Islam. Anyone here could tell you that.

Thankfully though, I promised a member here that I would do more research into Islam and be open minded about it.(The member was Oxy2Hydro)

I have, and have learned a lot. And, I have come to appreciate Islam so much.

Ok, tell me honestly, how long was your study towards the core of Islam and its history? Open minded means ready to entertain new ideas, that also entails a criticism that is undistorted by emotion or personal bias; based on observable phenomena… So what have you done with the observance part? We shall see below…

And now as I view this forum, it brings me to tears, because people are so hateful here of Islam. Some people say the meanest things, and make the same accusations over and over.

There is nothing wrong with hating an ideology my friend, you can’t observe daily interactions of people, everyday in the world, many Christians and muslims go to work together, come home together, eat together. I do it all the time, we joke, we laugh and we say “next time…” and leave…

Every Muslim on this site has condemned 9/11 and terrorism against innocents.

That is such nonsense, the very person who told you to have an open mind and do research is the one who praised the attacks and told the forum how the attacks brought us to our knees by humiliation and he said this in the summer of 2005. I was stationed in Korea and I remember reading those unpleasant lines like yesterday. Since then I made clear that he will be on FBI’s watch and he put me on his ignore list. Don’t be so naïve, you don’t know these people yet.

Many Muslims are pro Palestine, but so what! If you could not go to work without crossing checkpoints, and if your homes were being bulldozed, I am sure you would be pro palestine too.

Did you do an open minded research why we keep sending support to Israel and train their military? Do you remember the Arab-Israel wars? Do you know what happened immediately after Israel declared independence?

Well you know, there are MANY Israeli's who are anti Palestine and want them dead. But we always look over this. A good friend of mine named Eliad is lives in Israel. I told him how I did not like his government because they kill a lot of innocents. He said "So, that is good and I hope we kill more, because they are nasty people." And he had a smile on his face too because he was on webcam.

And? You don’t’ like Israeli government so should they lay down their weapons and get slaughtered by the muslim?

And sure, many Muslims support the fighters in Iraq. But hey, if 140,000 people invaded your country and pushed and shoved you, wouldn't you?!

Our troops take one step at a time. Mission was to take Saddam out and we accomplished it, then we had to secure Iraq and train them so they could stand on their own. Our goal is to achieve civilian comfort and sovereignty in Iraq. We did make our objective clear to people, and didn’t shove anyone around. Get your facts straight. They woke up late towards co-operation but they are giving us full co-operation to rid more of the scum of extremists.

Really, is this remark a result of objective research, when was the last time you visited Saudi? The countries you listed have considerable touristic attractions, and THAT IS ABOUT IT. Life sucks big time there, it is easy for a homosexual to suppose of course!

I do hit the gym, every day from 5-6. I jog 4 miles a day, which is at least more then most. I am a vegetarian and eat three meals a day and two snacks, no more, no less. I take vitamin pills and protein/iron pills to ensure i get the proper nutrition. I sleep well every night, with my BOYFRIEND.

Why does it offend you so much that I am gay? Why do you feel that I need to "change", even though it is impossible for me to change? (and if you want we can discuss this in PM, about whether or not it is a choice.)
