This is something I was just thinking about. You see I want a greater passion for God, and I was wondering what exactly kindles passion for God? I know it is impossable to please God without faith, so I think hearing the word has something to do with it. Why are you passionet about God? This is just something that came to my mind, I asked myself what is it about God that makes me passionet? I am not totaly sure to be honest. And I think this is something of a soul search that would be good for me and anyone. I know all God did...but what is it about Him that REALLY makes me burn for Him. Maybe it is His love for me. Maybe it is His forgivness. Maybe it is the promise of freedom. Maybe for a stronger passion we should take time to consider God and all His works:preach:

looksgood,

I felt the exact same you did at one point in my walk with Christ, and he taught me something extremely important. The word 'passion' in the greek, means 'suffering' -- to have a passion for God I think it requires you to trust God no matter what when things get bad, because when you see how He has brought you through something difficult, you realize that it He is with you through all the bad things, no matter what. I think Jesus gave us an example by dying for us and being able to go through with it because God knew what was best, in other words, the more you suffer (if you are a true convert) the greater your passion will be -- hope this helped, it's the best I can explain it.

God bless,
Matt

I really feel the passion is the burning desire to serve him. I look at it as the excitement and joy of getting out and expressing the love of our Saviour Jesus Christ.

I believe the passion is to understand what Christ went through for us and be able to endure any persacussion until the end.

Finally, I beleive the passion is expressed as being a loving person and reaching out for those lost souls. I feel some Christians today are afraid to reach out to the non-believers, the alcholics, prostitutes etc. I believe we need to have passion for these folks. We need to have the passion of witnessing to 3000 people and if only one is won to the Lord---We must be still be glorified and keep on.

As in Timothy--I fought a good fight, I finished my course, and kept the faith.

God Bless :preach:

The very best way to obtain passion is to receive the assurance of salvation. That will occur by following Jesus' teaching on the subject.(John 3:3-9) The baptism of the Holy Spirit draws us into a personal relationship with God and gives us divine assurance that we will receive an eternal life living with the Holy Spirit..There is no human experience that creates as much passion as this supernatural experience does.
