I see and what would that be? I find it intriguing your making claims your not able to support with scripture. I have only shared God's Word and God's Words are not mine but God's. What is it you do not believe and why (scripture please)?I find it intriguing how you make the scripture not say what it actually says.
No further discussion required I guess.
I provided scripture twice, and you stated it means the opposite of what it says.I see and what would that be? I find it intriguing your making claims your not able to support with scripture. I have only shared God's Word and God's Words are not mine but God's. What is it you do not believe and why (scripture please)?
Nonsense, You were answered with scripture to show that the scriptures you provided once context was added was not saying what you were claiming they were. I think you did not respond to those posts. So what scripture have you got for your tradition? - None. Does this not worry you? It should. JESUS warns us about following man-made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God in Matthew 15:3-9.I provided scripture twice, and you stated it means the opposite of what it says.
With a reading ethic like that, discussion is fruitless.
It sounds like a tiresome game with no prize. So I lost interest.Indeed and you were answered with scripture to show that the scriptures you provided once context was added was not saying what you were claiming they were. I think you did not respond to those posts.
Depends if you believe God's Word or not I guess. For me only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow them over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God *Romans 3:4; Acts of the Apostles 5:29. JESUS warns us about following man-made traditions and teachings that break his commandments in Matthew 15:3-9It sounds like a tiresome game with no prize. So I lost interest.
The teachings of the apostles illustrate that the Sabbath doesn't matter.Depends if you believe God's Word I guess. For me only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow them over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God *Romans 3:4; Acts of the Apostles 5:29.
The teachings of the apostles illustrate that the Sabbath doesn't matter.
What does matter, is entering God's rest.
I get the sense we have an entirely different perception of what God's commandments are.The teachings of the Apostles illustrate no such thing as shown through the scriptures earlier while all the Apostles kept the Sabbath and followed the example of JESUS. No one enters God's rest by not believing his Word and breaking God's commandments. This is what Hebrews 3 and Hebrews 4 warns us about.
Not sure. Mine are based on being born again with a new heart to love and being made free to walk in God's Spirit. *1 John 3:4-9; Matthew 22:36-40; Romans 13:8:10 and James 2:8-12 in fulfillment of Hebrews 8:10-12 from Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Ezekiel 36:24-27, John 3:3-7, Romans 8:1-4; Galatians 5:16; John 14:15; John 15:10; 1 John 4:7; 1 John 5:1; John 8:31-36 and 1 John 5:4.I get the sense we have an entirely different perception of what God's commandments are.
But we're talking about the sabbath here, and you're promoting that. Why isn't the passages for the ten commandments in your list of scriptures. Not sure. Mine are based on being born again with a new heart to love and being made free to walk in God's Spirit. *1 John 3:4-9; Matthew 22:36-40; Romans 13:8:10 in fulfillment of Hebrews 8:10-12 from Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Ezekiel 36:24-27, John 3:3-7, Romans 8:1-4; Galatians 5:16; John 14:15; John 15:10; 1 John 4:7; 1 John 5:1; John 8:31-36 and 1 John 5:4.
You did not read those scriptures did you. The Sabbath is God's 4th commandment of the 10 commandments *Exodus 20:8-11. Love is expressed though obedience to all of God's commandments as shown in Matthew 22:36-40; Romans 13:8-10 and James 2:8-12 in fulfillment of Hebrews 8:10-12 from Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Ezekiel 36:24-27 already provided in the last post. God's love is not expressed in disobedience to God's Law. If you love your neighbor you will not kill, lie or steal from them right? If you love God you will not have or make other Gods and bow down to them, use God's name in vain or break his Sabbath. This is why JESUS says if you love me keep my commandments *John 14:15 and "On these two great commandments of love to God and man hang all the law and the prophets *Matthew 22:36-40. Read the scriptures shared with you in the previous post dear friend. But we're talking about the sabbath here, and you're promoting that. Why isn't the passages for the ten commandments in your list of scriptures.
What you're missing is that Jesus gave more difficult commandments that implied the old teachings were not enough. You did not read those scriptures did you. I was not missing anything. Only new covenant scripture was shared with you. What you're missing is that Jesus gave more difficult commandments that implied the old teachings were not enough.
This is why I perceived we had a different perception.
Jesus acted on higher principles,
Jesus also acted according to the time He lived in prophetically, if He did what He did, and said what He said, in the days of Moses regarding the Sabbath, He would have been stoned.
Either way, what is being described doesn't actually help with the spiritual work I am given to do.I was not missing anything. Only new covenant scripture was shared with you.
Either way, what is being described doesn't actually help with the spiritual work I am given to do.
After the elementary school of scripture, the word becomes flesh within us, and it cannot be forgotten - so in our face. Perhaps something to look forward to, you obviously study a lot.
The more we mature in Him, the way the words appear change.God's Spirit works through the Word not outside of it. According to the scriptures God's Word is the Spirit of the Word of God. The Words that I speak unto you they are Spirit and they are life as we believe and follow them *John 6:63; John 3:16-19.
The more we mature in Him, the way the words appear change.
Hollow arguments asserting scripture cut outs to imitate an opinion look more and more flimsy since the spiritual reality becomes more and more visible.
It sounds like you are making the fallacy of equating your interpretation with God's word.God's Word is not hollow argument it is God's Word and God's Word is not my words but God's. You deny God's Word with your words that are not God's but yours so your argument is with God not me. The Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit and they are life *John 6:63 and God's Word testifies to my words that my Words are true because they are not my words but God's
It sounds like you are making the fallacy of equating your interpretation with God's word. It doesn't work that way.
But you're not God though. These of course are more of your words denying God's Word. Of course you are free to believe as you wish. We all answer only to God come judgement day according to the scriptures for the Words of God we accept or reject *John 12:47-48.
