Why still single?

maybe you can search out other single ministries in other churches. You don't necessarily have to switch churches. We have people that go to other churches that come for our singles ministry for various reasons. You could do the same.

Is it really you, or are the people in your church legalistic in their views? Have you asked any of them about their view toward the fact that you are now divorced?

I hope I can be honest here, David I think you are right on target about marriages these days.

With that said in the prior years before my marriage and now the post divorce I have felt inferior according to the christians I have met. I don't receive this vibe when I meet people out in public, and don't feel judged for being single/divorced. Even with singles ministries around these days I still feel like I am alone. Esp since most of them are pretty much the younger crowd.

I am soooo trying to be an active single in the church and I am having a really hard time with it. Maybe I am not in the right church or just not meeting the right people. I don't know but I truly feel bad that I feel this way towards God's children. I know it is me all the way but I don't know how to change that perception of how I view things.

With the popularity of divorce in the Christian sector, its surprising that any Christian or Church Body would look down on a Christian whos divorced ; in fact, the Bible itself does believe in justifiable Divorces under certain circumstances.

Remaining an active productive Christian Single is where its at in my opinion. Ive seen God use Singles/Divorcees/Widows in remarkable ways and it is a real priveldge to serve Christ and Others in this capacity. Its what we make of it -- we have the choice of not letting it slow us down or we can allow Ourselves to be owned by it negatively.

Also, I really started going to women's ministries bible studies this year, I had moved here last year and really trying to get plugged in. I haven't really established a group of friends that I could even ask. I wish I did because it would help me so much

yeah I hear ya! That's why I don't attend ours, they are all younger than I am. At one church we had a Baby Boomers group, but it wasn't singles and I never did attend. I think they need an over 50 and single again group or just over 50 and single.
